  1. I only got 14/20 :x Oh c'mon. Which ones did you miss man? Those were all really, really easy. consecutive no-hitters, perfect game in WS, Yankee hit in '78 among others. I'm aware of all of these things happening, I just don't retain the names attached to them
  2. If he's (supposedly) a Type A now, the only way he ends up a Type B is if he puts up crap numbers the next two months, and why would we root for that? Well, I wasn't aware that he was locked in as a Type A. I thought he was borderline, in which case a couple months likely wouldn't sway him too much one way or another. I don't really know....just going by what others here are posting.

  4. Not if the steroids were what helped him play until age 44. Perhaps without roids, he would have been done in his mid-30's /end speculation

  6. you made this term up, didn't you
  7. barring a Holliday trade, I'm expecting a pretty quiet day on the trade front. Seems like most of the names everyone has talked about have already moved
  8. Training camp always makes me nervous. Some major, season changing injury is always lurking around the corner.....

  10. Obviously you like to exaggerate. There isn't a player involved in this deal that is going to amount to anything better than a 4th starter, a middle relief picher and a bench player. Hart, Ascanio, and Harrison didn't really figure into any Cubs' plans whereas Grabow & Gorzalanny could possibly help this year and in the future. In any case, Grabow will get us Type A compensation if we let him walk. I was quoting someone who likes to exaggerate
  11. penis
  12. I'd love to go down for a game in Cincy, but my wife is out of town on Monday and Tuesday night. Maybe I can sneak out on Wednesday.
  13. What???? Umm... The Cubs play the Marlins next in Miami... yeah, but he's supposed to be reporting to Iowa
  14. Haha Good for JP. There's no mandate to trade him, so why not ask for the moon and stars for him.....someone might just give them to you
  15. So as it stands now, Grabow replaces Hart on the Active roster, with Gorzo going to AAA. Does Gorzo get called up when Hart's next scheduled start would take place (Tuesday, @CIN)?
  16. today was Hart vs. Ortiz, and now they're both off their teams, LOL
  17. Neither starting pitcher from today's game is on their respective teams anymore
  18. who was the last player Hendry sent to Pittsburgh that amounted to crap?
  19. "Sorry sir, but this a Player's Only shower."
