Derwood I know you have a very impressive resume which gives you the right to demean others but for the record, Plaschke has been named National Sports Columnist of the Year by the Associated Press four times. It's also not a top flight program in terms of landing coaches. The Stoops talk is nice and all, but Notre Dame isn't going to pull coaches from elite teams just because they're Notre Dame anymore (if they ever did.....Davie/Willingham were hardly elite when they were hired, and Weis wasn't even coaching in college)

I think it's assume whichever of Iowa/PSU doesn't get a BCS gets the CapOne. makes sense. CapOne gets, what, a 4th place SEC team this year? (with Bama/Florida in the BCS and LSU in the Cotton)? Ole Miss is going to the Cotton vs Oklahoma State. LSU will probably end up in the CapOne. my bad

I'm hoping that the lack of rumors about PSU and bowl bids means they're still in consideration for a BCS at-large (though I guess any top 12 BCS team fits that category)

Wow, glad PSU won, but you can't count on Battle to score HALF of your freaking points every night. David Jackson went from scoring 25 points last game to taking just 4 shots this game. I have no idea what's going on

I heard someone suggest that since Bowden is retiring, they should have FSU play PSU in a bowl game. That would anger me to the point of murder, I think

it was a really nicely designed play, actually. both WR's on the right ran in on the slant which pulled the Bears (who were in Man-to-man) away from the flat.
