  5. yeah, im starting to follow this pujols guy also. he's pretty intriguing.
  6. Ok, why is this the biggest major? I'm speaking from shameless ignorance here. It seems to me like the "biggest major of the year" is always the one that finished most recently. The birth place of golf, links style golf, very old courses. Kind of like why Wimbledon is the biggest major in tennis. Just a since of history every year this time, kind of like going to Wrigley or Fenway. Well I knew St Andrews was that, but I didn't know the whole slew of British Open courses were similarly prestigious. If I were to guess, I would have said the Masters was the big kahuna of the majors. The Masters is the biggest to the casual American fan. The golf snobs prefer the british open due to the history and tradition. Its similar to how you and me prefer bud light but the beer snobs need belgish fancy [expletive].
  7. guys, he said himself he's not a farve fan.
  8. well this is painful
  9. Lou's bullpen use tonight in general left a bit to be desired.
  10. Dare I say give him a black guy...?
  11. a quick check of the numbers shows that the attendance in 10 of his 11 years in atlanta were higher than the highest season his first go round with the cubs.
  12. Richmond did beat Duke a couple of years ago, but Duke has gotten a lot better. There have been dreams of a bowl game this year for the first time in a long time. I would be very surprised. When I raised the possibility of Richmond over Duke, it actually wasn't a slight at Duke. I raised it because I know how good Richmond is. I saw Duke play 3 times last year, and nearly beat the 4th best team in the Big Ten (on that real [expletive] ACC Internet station- forgot what it's called). Cutcliffe is a real solid coach; he reminds me of Grobe. Call it blind faith, but I'm still intrigued by UNI over Iowa. I'm skeptical Iowa will be more than an average Big 10 team to begin with; and if Moeaki (sp?) and Hampton don't play, I don't see Iowa scoring getting to 25 on UNI. With that said, UNI would have to play a near-perfect game, and turnovers for them would be detrimental. Iowa has played UNI 3 times since 1995, and has scored on average 48 points. you dont think Iowa will score 25?
  13. I don't see Hester and co. giving Harris and Woodson problems at all this year. And to defend what you are saying, Mike and Mike did a segment I belive every tuesday called "Just Shut Up". I do remember that. You don't believe having a QB who can actually hit a receiver in stride isn't going to make a bit of difference? Cutler will help, but im not to worried about the bears WR core at all. Olsen on the other hand... please go find something to talk about that you understand a little bit, like camo gear or orange hats. if hester had a competent qb last year he would have lead the league in catches of 40+ yards.
  14. I'm sure he knows who the Bears receivers are. Probably the ones that played last year, yeah. I don't know if he knows all the rookies. And rookie WR's outside of the first round typically do nothing of any substance. So he doesn't really need to know anything about them. well i guess we're screwed then.
  15. hes allergic to gay musicians from the 70s
  16. those 3 games account for half of his career touchdowns. other than that, 8 TD 17 INT. yikes
  17. Wasn't that actually McNown in 2000? He had a few pretty good games. i dont think mcNown ever had any good games...
  18. Haha enjoy the Big Ten basement. Iowa might be worse than IU this year. man you really went out on a limb there.
  19. illinois suks.
  20. no. stop it. this isnt iowa state. we dont lose to Division II teams
