  1. I still wouldn't mind if he could call him "our little guy" ooooh right around August 1st. Why? DeRosa has been better. I would think we could find a place for DeRo as well. Where? I can't think of one. maybe LF if soriano gets hurt again. i guess just as a super-sub
  2. uhh ya thats definitly my quote i know i was poking fun at it
  3. 1) there isnt a test for HGH in MLB 2) stop complaining about the cardinals it's getting tiresome No kidding. They're superior to every team in every way, so theres really no point anymore. yeah, thats totally what i meant  we already have a 3.5 game lead on them, our entire lineup is not outplaying projections. our rotation is not patched together to that extent, we have a massive run differential advantage. we are superior to them at just about every single position. it's really tiring to hear all the complaining about a team that we are much better than Do you really think people are serious when people talk about the Cardinals being baseball Gods? Do you really think I or nyone think they're the best team in baseball? No, there a team that just wont go away, and it gets frusterating that we cant pull away from them, but then again, Im sure at the Cards forum, they say the same things about the Cubs, as they can barely ever gain any ground. we have a pretty big lead for this early in the season though. we are on pace for about an 8 game win. BP has our playoff odds at above 90% on all three reports. It's not like they are hovering within a game or have a lead over us.
  4. Stop complaining about people complaining about the Cardinals. It's equally tiresome. this is the first time i have complained about the bitching. it's just getting on my nerves. it's not even complaining about them that is bad. it is talking about how ankiel is on HGH, how they could take a fan from the bleachers and he would OPS .900, saying how lucky they are and so on

  6. Waaaay too steep a price for O'Neal. I saw that rumor on the bottom line of ESPN and I was really shocked it seems like another steep price

  8. The Cardinals have a shot at the wild card, especially being in the lead currently. However, when you look down the roster, they don't compare to their competitors. Carpenter and Wainwright are both currently injured, Carpenter is questionable to even pitch in 2008, and if he does there's a strong likelihood he won't be at his best. Latest news is that Wainwright will be out until August. The Dodgers(Billingsley, Kuroda, Lowe, Kershaw) and Braves(Hudson, Jurrjens, Campillo, Reyes/Glavine) have a better rotation, and the Mets(Santana, Maine) and Brewers(Sheets, Suppan) are better at the top of the rotation. Pujols is the best player in the game, but Ludwick and Ankiel are not much after him. Ankiel has a flawed approach and has about a .740 OPS since April. Ludwick outhit anything he's ever done, and has fallen off to a .737 OPS in June. Glaus is a quality player, but not spectacular. The Brewers with Fielder, Braun, Hart, and Cameron are more formidable, as are the Braves(Jones, Teixeira, McCann, Johnson), and the Mets(Wright, Beltran, Reyes, Church) and Marlins(Ramirez, Uggla, Cantu, Hermida) are similar. The Cards could still make the playoffs, but it won't be because their talent is the class of the wild card contenders. Yes, but I was just speaking for if they are at full strength, I would fear the Cardinals more then the Mets/Brewers/Braves. I mean, of course Ludwick and Ankiel have flaws, but so does Reyes, and Church has never been this good either (and never has he ever been projected to be, which makes him much more likely a fluke, unlike Ludwick and Ankiel who have legit power). The Brewers out of all the teams you listed have the more formidable lineup, but Carpenter, Wainwright, Wellemeyer and Pinerio is far better then Ben Sheets, Suppan, Parra, Dave Bush. To me, anyway. The Dodgers have a talented rotation but the lineup is the pits. And you'd really have more confidence in facing Atlanta then the Cardinals? The Braves have always been pushovers. I might take the Brewers rotation anyways, but if you include Carpenter you have to include Gallardo
  9. can you not start any more threads?
  10. good luck with that don't you like purdue? if so, enough out of you
  11. I really wish the Hornets had a pick this year
  12. what did he say about Morrison and Redick when they were drafted? Redick needs to get the hell out of Orlando. He has no future on that team. I think he could become a decent role player, but it has to be the right situation. If he can't play as a spot up shooter on a team with the best low post player in basketball, where would he succeed? the problem is that they already have two perimeter players whose job it is to score in Turkoglu and Lewis.
  13. Yay West Virginia
  14. Well I got news that I am going back to Wrigley for two games this year either against the Marlins or Pirates. I am 2-0 at Wrigley. so we are at least getting two more this year
  15. he'll be booed because he's on the Cubs now plus he said some negative things when they traded him I remember when John Mabry first returned... he got a standing O. John Mabry. Edmonds will be cheered pretty loudly. BEST FANS IN BASEBALL It is crazy how obsessed they are with us there. I went to my first Cardinals game last year, and they had on shirts of like why the bleachers in STL are better then Chicago. And when a ball was hit into the crowd some people were going to throw it back, and everyone like booed them, and told them we aren't in Chicago. The whole time all they talked about was what the Cubs score was. That is the night we faced Lincecum and he rolled through eight, then we ended up getting I think four in the ninth to beat the Giants. But the whole game they only talked about how San Fran was beating us. God, I wish I would have been around them when we came back won. The atmosphere there is pretty good, and the stadium is pretty nice. But to be a brand new ball park there bathroom situation is a joke. I feel like they only have 3 or 4 mens bathrooms in the whole place. I literally missed an entire inning trying to find a bathroom to go to, and there wasn't even a line for it. I was at that game. the atmosphere that night was so intense that was also the night that we traded for Jason Kendall
  16. marquis i think Are they skipping Gallagher? i thought somebody said lilly earlier in the thread
  17. guys this game is on me i said i was going to wear my undefeated soriano jersey i didnt
  18. where? my guess is transactions just kidding i went to check it and there was nothing new
  19. option years, not times. Murton has been optioned 1 this year already. Doesnt that mean if they want to send him down, theyd have to DFA him, and hope he doesnt make it through waivers, which he wouldnt? And Ronny hasnt been Optioned yet this year, hint hint. Is Cedeno out of options? Did he have to clear waivers when he started the season in AAA (or am I dreaming and he didn't start out in AAA)? he started in the majors
