Everything I've heard says the Brewers are not willing to part with what it's going to take to get Halladay. So at least there's that. From what Ive heard, the Phillies are the favorite, and The Brewers are their biggest threat with the Cardinals still very much in it. The reason its not smart for teh Brewers is a team like the Phillies can trade top prospects and then be able to afford to go out and buy more players, while smaller market teams the Brewers rely on those propects for the future. If the Cards get Holliday and Halladay, crap. I know, its almost impossible, but, but if they did, crap. They won't have a farm system after that should it happen, but it would be worth it to them. They would almost certainly have to give up Rasmus after trading Wallace for Holliday
