  1. I can't watch it, is Stevens really looking that good?
  2. Passed ball for a run coming to you in 3... 2... 1...
  3. He's gotten really lucky
  4. Kerry Wood He seems to hit people at pretty high speeds
  5. Thanks, Bruce Adam Dunn was the 7th worst defender in all of baseball by UZR last year 4th worst this year
  6. As much as UZR is flawed. It has told the same story every year with Dunn. 2009 Batting Runs 24.1. Fielding Runs -23.4 2008 27.4 -28.0 2007 34.5 -18.8 2006 17.9 -14.9 I'd like to hold on to Bradley rather than sell low
  7. Id rather have Bradley at 2/20 than whatever Nady and Vlad get. Especially if we have to eat some of Bradley's salary
  8. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/news/story?id=4355438 Knee surgery. Expected to miss four starts.

  10. I do not like this. A .375 OBP is very solid for somebody that is slumping. In no way would I eat any salary, either.
  11. Why would we do that, and why would they do that? Well I guess we could put Fox and Hoff in a platoon. But we better be getting something good back. Selling low on somebody with as much talent as Bradley is a bad idea. I'm just reporting what Marty said... Anyway, I could see the Cubs wanting to get rid of him and the Tigers wanting to use him as a DH (which was also mentioned). At this point, Id probably do it and let Fox play RF. Who plays RF next year?
  12. I shouldn't even bother, but Speed does slump June .264/.319/.309 for a .628 OPS July .250/.273/.313 for a .585 OPS His hot start had everything to do with a BABIP of over .400
  13. I actually cannot be there for the draft
  14. He wasn't a prospect, was he?
  15. Matt Holliday is pretty much a lock for Type A
  16. We go through the list of ugly baseball players every time Harang starts against us
  17. Everything I've heard says the Brewers are not willing to part with what it's going to take to get Halladay. So at least there's that. From what Ive heard, the Phillies are the favorite, and The Brewers are their biggest threat with the Cardinals still very much in it. The reason its not smart for teh Brewers is a team like the Phillies can trade top prospects and then be able to afford to go out and buy more players, while smaller market teams the Brewers rely on those propects for the future. If the Cards get Holliday and Halladay, crap. I know, its almost impossible, but, but if they did, crap. They won't have a farm system after that should it happen, but it would be worth it to them. They would almost certainly have to give up Rasmus after trading Wallace for Holliday
  18. I prefer Verlander. I know alot of guys on this site would take the "easy way out" and chose a soft tosser, but come on "man up" and chose a tougher assignment. I'd go with Verlander. Man up? Please. All you're going to do is embarrass yourself. I imagine he'd get 2 strikes on you and then bounce a curve ball about 50 feet and you'd flail away like you had a shovel in your hand. But then maybe you could take first on a dropped third strike
  19. If you add Marshall and Gregg to that. Wow. It's probably not worth the prospects needed for Sherrill, though.
  20. Assuming he can stay healthy. And assuming that no one else gets hurt and we lose just as much. This team has no depth at all. We've gotten a .262 .332 .435 line from our 3b this season. That's not what Ramirez would put up, but it's not like it's been a black hole. Losing Ramirez also downgraded 2B
  21. This is the worst year for the ACC (as a whole) in a long long time. This is the Big Ten's best chance to finally beat us.
