  1. SALARY DUMP So if a trade is fueled by a Salary Dump, does that somehow disqualify its value? Plenty of other teams had the opportunity to take advantage of this situation as well.
  2. Hey now! The commie comment is a little harsh... I agree. There is no need to insult communists like that.
  3. Doesn't smoking crack stunt growth? This all makes sense now....
  4. Should I expect his name on the Mitchell report?
  5. These smoking crack comments are not appropriate guys. I'm not going to spend the time doing it..but I'm pretty sure I could find over 1,000 better options then signing David Eckstein.
  6. I'd wait to see what happens with Alexei Ramirez actually.
  7. Chris Young and Adrian Gonzales for Adam Eaton.
  8. Just because he is the only one who belongs in the majors on the market does not make him good or worth $36mil/4yrs. But if a team is looking to acquire a starting SS, and doesn't have the pieces for Tejada, what else do you suggest they do? Find a secondbasemen with a good glove and move him to SS.
  9. Top of my head, not sure I can name 5 worse. Ed Wade, Ned Coletti, Wayne Krivsky...there's some incompletes out there. I think Sabean edges him out. John Daniels
  10. It appears they will free up some $$$ if they move Crede...plus they are more desperate than us.
  11. you need to change your screen name to "DidIMentionIHateJohnPaxson" Ironically, I tried registering on RealGm with the S/N of FireJohnPaxson..but I can't get approved.
  12. How so? They are not going to trade Fuld because there is really no interest. There is no MLB team that is "hot" after him The Cubs are not dead set on moving him
  13. But if much of those efforts end up being as effective or even worse than doing nothing, is that something someone should get credit for? It depends I guess.....trades like Juan Pierre for Nolasco/Mitre/Pinto...yeah..in that case doing nothing would have been the better alternative. And while signing Soriano maybe hurt us in the long run, the short term benefit of his presense is better than doing nothing.
  14. Awesome, Fuld is untouchable now when his value may be at its peak. Actually, Hendry didn't use the term "untouchable"..it was the authors choice viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36396
  15. While Hendry's philosophy can be debated..I don't think you can question his effort. The guy is constantly looking to improve the team. At least he doesn't sit back and do nothing as a GM(cough..John Paxson..cough).
  16. If we lose out to the Royals, I am punching a hole in my drywall.
  17. Yes Dusty, but even as time passes, those scars leave a memory of a painful past, just like your tenure here.
  18. Chone can play every position and bat left handed. It doesn't get better than that folks.
  19. I hope Fukudome realizes he can make alot more in endorsements, here in Chicago..vs Kansas City.
