  1. Little known fact folks... Ryan Theriot was the Chicago Cubs 2007 MVP. Look it up if you don't believe me.
  2. What if it doesn't? What if this all gets swept under the rug and we never find out?
  3. It was me....
  4. Did you really just say that about DeRosa? If you had gained any credibilty on this board, I think you may have lost it. .371 obp, .293 ba, and he only made 6 errors all year at 2nd base, not that errors matter anyways, just from watching nearly every day I thought DeRo played 2nd base quite well. Please tell me I am mistaken and you are talking about someone else, but if your talking about DeRosa you are a moron. Edit: I read ahead, and think you were talking about Greene, in that case I agree with what you said. I was just confused why anyone would think that about DeRosa, he's truly a quality player. Damn, if you're gonna call out a poster like that...at least have some context at what is the discussion at hand.
  5. LOL..I really don't know where to go with this.
  6. Wouldn't Towers public lowball of Fukudome be considered a sign of disrespect?
  7. Neither, they'd mutually respect each other and chop off Mark Prior's other arm. Lame, I want to see them fight..actually I mean I want to see Dempster get his arse whooped. You just can't up and become a ninja? Who the heck does he think he is..its like the mafia, you have to be born into it.
  8. What about Isuro "Kamakazi" Tanaka? What is he up to?
  9. I wonder who would win in a ninja fight...Fukudome or Dempster?
  10. .380 .610 .812 What the heck are those numbers? My pessimistic view of what Fukudome will do in the US. Pessimistic? I'm going to assume that those numbers are OBP, SLG and OPS. If the first two are his OBP and SLG, then his OPS would be .990, and if that's your pessimistic numbers, I'd love to see what your optimistic numbers are. Hope springs enternal I guess...

  12. The more I think of it, Hendry had this info all along. Damn, I'm telling ya, while the rest of the GM's are playing checkers, Jim is playing battleship.
  13. I ate a big, red candle
  14. Don't want to get ahead of things, but assuming Fukudome does sign with the Cubs... The outfield vs RHP LF Soriano CF Pie RF Fukudome vs LHP LF Soriano CF Fukudome RF Murton/Derosa What I'm getting at...no more Angel Pagan...plz?!
  15. If someone gave me a Bob Costas book for Christmas, they would forever be on my "craplist".
  16. Willis is gonna put AP in the ground. LOL..sure....
  17. Financially-based? Good I believe. (unless the Red Sox come out of nowhere)
  18. I see Tyrus Thomas got a DNP last night..what a freakin joke. And I'm not throwing this all on Tyrus...yeah, maybe part of it is his fault, but it seems like Skiles is trying to destroy the kid(just like Chandler). The faster both Paxson and Skiles are out of Chicago..the better.
  19. So I guess its obvious at this point...Big Ben can still play, but only when he wants to. What a joke.
  20. We can gamble in the OF with what we have(Pie and/or Murton) without giving up resources to do so. We could have had Dukes for peanuts. If he ever gets his head togheter(good possibility he never will), he has a TON of upside. The problem with Hendry, is he seems to forgot about his 2 best deals...Aram and D.Lee...both were young players, who at the time had not reached their full potential. Aram for various of reasons, and Lee was held back by a pitchers park.
  21. I'm starting to think we should have taken a shot at one of young low risk/high reward OF's on the market this year....either Elijah Dukes or Milledge.
  22. They would have been better off investing in 25,000 mannequins to give the impression they actually have fans.
