    That and he went to a team that had been crappy which I beleive Ray didn't. And KG didn't play great in the finals but did his most important job. Rebound and play D. Kobe on the other hand was pretty bad especially the last three games. Yeah, the Kobe/MJ thing is done and over. He wasn't good at all this series. According to Wood Kobe is MJ right now. Kobe is clearly not made of the same stuff MJ was. Micheal took a stranglehold on games when he needed to, while Kobe seemed content to pass the buck. Kobe may well be more talented than Jordan, but he really showed little of what made Jordan great in the finals. Kobe's a great player. Great player. One of the greatest ever. But I question whether we'll ever see another MJ. LeBron is already what MJ was on offense . No.

    What is with the obsession over someoone that can hit LHP? The Cubs are actually fairing quite well vs LHP this seaon(subtract Soriano out of the equation, and they numbers vs LHP are still very good). I think the goal should be to add the better offensive player to the roster while Soriano is out. I'm not saying Patterson is absolutely better than Murton, or vice versa...I just don't see all the fuss about giving Patterson a shot.

    I'm not sure what that really means. They look like baseball players to me, at least when they wear baseball uniforms. Murton is slugging under .400 against AAA pitching. He can't play defense. He runs the bases like he's drunk. I understand that he can get on base at a decent clip, but he's nothing more than 4th OF material at this point in his career. I don't know why people are so upset he didn't get called up. Because we already had Eric Patterson on the roster, his name is Mike Fontenot. Someone who can hit LHP with power off the bench is something we don't have, and Murton could have provided it. Again, I'm trying to figure out how a guy that can't slug over 400 in the PCL can provide consistent power at the MLB level.

    This call up could have gone either way to be honest(patterson vs murton)..but good god I have no idea why people are flipping out about this. This isn't Koyie Hill over Soto or anything like that.

    No that doesn't matter either. What matters is offensive production provided to the lineup, and it Patterson is having a superior season stat wise vs Murton.

    The Cubs just lost their starting LF and Murton is the most logical man to replace him. . Statistics may suggest otherwise.
