  1. not at trade, but, I'd actually like to see if the Cubs could get Harden to buy on incentive laden contract extension at a discounted rate.
  2. (not his exact words) but Hendry also mentioned that Beane was aware of the injury risks w/Harden and this factored into what he wanted in retun(prospect wise)
  3. Yeah, I do remember a few peeps here saying Beane would want a high quality ML ready guy. None of the guys we gave up are top of the line guys. Good role players yes. But not what we thought. Unless, god forbid, Beane knows he's injured and that's the only reason we got him. Bite your tongue, knock on wood. Well, Hendry is really singing praises about Beane on the broadcast now, I wonder if this was a bit of a wink wink deal.
  4. Kudos to Jim Hendry....Harden & Guadin for 2 bench players, #4 starter, & a average catching prospect is a helluva deal.
  5. again, its the 1st summer league game.
  6. Are you going to un-ban him?
  7. Because they're usually wrong and he starts a ton of them? That, and the lame attempt at humor as well.
  8. LLF's threads for some reason really irritate me...
  9. He'd still have to ask his Dad first.
  10. Why Angelo won't take a chance on a guy like Kevin Jones is absurd. Going into the season with a 2nd round rookie, Adrian Petrerson(the bad one), and Garret Wolfe, is beyond stupid. Jerry Angelo has been a terribe GM since the SB loss.
  11. I wish we could get rid of Larry Hugues.
  12. I wish I could find a specific video..it was Rose when he was @ Simeon, basically he was on a fast break dribbling @ full speed and without breaking stride passed the ball back between his legs to a trailing teammate..it was beautiful...I think his passing ablitlity will really shine in the NBA, provided the Bulls don't ruin him.
  13. The Memphis offense was not condusive to Rose's passing abilties as a PG, it kept his assist totals down.
  14. It is when your 19 year old PG is extermely more talented then your current PG. you assume. there are zero guarantees that collegiate success translates to the NBA (there are too many examples to list). I'm not sure throwing him into the starting role on a team with playoff expectations is wise. Early failure could screw him up for good. LMAO, are you seriously suggesting that there is a remote possiblty that Hinrich could be better than Rose? Last I checked Rose doesn't like motorcylces, so I have no idea how this could be even humanly possible. Hinrich isn't even a true modern PG. I think Rose will definitely be better than Hinrich. I'm just saying that starting him Game 1 may be unwise. Interesting stat: Hinrich (Sr. Yr.) - 14.8 ppg, 5.0 apg Rose (Fr. Yr.) - 14.9 ppg, 4.5 apg Personally, I hope Hinrich isn't even on the roster by Opening Night I could care less about Rose's college stats becuase of the system he played in.

  16. Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha...why should Pax get the benefit of the doubt? It's only June 27th. Most of it is general post-draft, we don't want to throw everything on the young kid's shoulders talk. It may happen, but that'd be well down the road. There's a lot that will happen between now and then. maybe so, but I refuse to give Paxon the benefit of the doubt. When Skiles was fired the goal of the organization should have been to develop the young guys, instead he let the intermim cancer that was Jim Boylan continue to sap minutes from guys like Thabo and Tyrus.

  19. What a great big pr mess that would be. I wonder how the fans would take that? I'm sure we would take action by non stop ranting on various message boards.
  20. Well Paxson has already hinted at the possiblity of Rose coming off the bench. Unreal. You don't have the #1 pick in the draft on the bench.
  21. wow McHale looks like he actually made a good deal huh? That is a terrible deal for Minnesota. They give up a potential star in Mayo for a player(Love) who had no business being a top 5 pick.
