I am actually quite annoyed about how little this loss bothered me. That combined with the fact that I wasn't super nervous for the game yesterday makes me believe I am "happy to be here" which is not the mentality I want to have. I wish I didn't care much just because it makes me question my sanity. Like, I didn't care as much pre game but once we feel behind and lost I couldn't sleep because I'm like "what if we don't get here again? We gotta get it done" I feel like I'm a grown person, why does millionaires playing sports do this to me.

Maybe if rain becomes an issue in this game we can move game 2 to Wrigley and they can give us the home field advantage we deserve anyways.

This one really didn't feel like the last two times we got shut down. We worked counts and threatened. Kluber and other just made pitches, the ump expanded his zone and couldn't quite come up big in the clutch. I'm not too worried about our offense though I am worried a bit about their line up. Win today/tomorrow if the rain is an issue and we did what you came here to do. I'm a scared little baby about falling down 2-0 but what the hell. We're in the World Series. And even if we do we can still take 3 at Wrigley.

Our site loves massive home runs. Schwarber hits massive home runs. He was predicted to not play again this year here he is playing in our first World Series game. There's a lot of magic too this so of course people are excited. -
I'm not sure if its been posted in any of these threads, since we want to keep the positive energy. I wont quote or hyperlink, but the posts on WSI - Cubs subforum (For some reason this exists) have been so butthurt and boderline suicidal lately. I don't know if they've actually gone out of their way to do this or they are just trying to sound cool, but several of them are talking about how they bought Indians gear on Sunday in preparation for the World Series. Not only does that sound stupid in general to buy another team's stuff just because they are playing a rival of theirs, but its the freaking Indians, division rival, and I'm not sure how bad the rivalry has been lately, but as recently as the early-00's were hated rivals. So I think about the other side of things, a very similar situation happened in 05 and I never once bought, thought about buying, or even had a passing through about the prospect of buying Astros gear. They too were in-division rivals, although the Astros never had a particularly strong rivalry with the Cubs other than a couple of individual seasons like 98, 03 and 04. I just don't get that mentality. If cards play the sox I'm easily pulling for the sox.

same I just celebrated last night. This morning I rewatched the 9th and the shots of people crying got me teary eyed as did listening to the radio highlights.

Like the game 5 win, this is one of those times where I do not mind the days off at all. Yeah I wanna soak it in. At the moment I don't even care if we beat cleveland. I want that to go away before the World Series (that the friggin cubs are playing in) starts

My 18 years of fandom is nothing compared to plenty but on the flipside, I care so much it's probably worth more than that. The Chicago Cubs being in the World Series is the best thing I've ever experienced in sports. The fact that I'm seeing something that so many haven't is soooooo surreal to me. Right now just being there feels so good but in two days I'll be ready to get going again. To win this would be....I don't know....the best. I'm not sure I can follow sports the same if we do and that's a good thing because I'm a weirdo.
