  1. LOL. WTF? He's just goin for the good luck ban again. Someone pull it off in the top of the first. I want a crooked number.
  2. All I can think about is how over this weekend the cubs could be going to the world series. It's in sight and it being so close is making me antsy.
  3. I want a stretch like the mets had vs us where we constantly score in the first. The idea of an early lead on the road is great. Make them play from behind immediately and hope they start pressing.
  4. Yeah, I'm a little glad I can't watch today, the stakes are similarly high and last night I would've been a wreck in a tight game. Needing to only beat one of Kershaw/Hill at home is so much easier to manage than beating them consecutively. I was a mess before the breakout inning. One Gonzalez was called out I calmed a bit. Felt the breaks were gonna go our way.
  5. It's gonna be a long day but at least it won't be full of awful "what if" scenarios. We need to unban that one guy, let him post dumb horsefeathers for 2 innings then ban him again. The banning that changed our season.
  6. Yup. i mean, you can CLEARLY see his hand come further down and touch the plate AFTER contreras tags him, so I'm not sure wtf there is even controversy about. his hand was over the plate but not on it. and even if you think otherwise, which may be fair, there was DEFINITELY no irrefutable evidence allowing an overturn. I don't know, it looked to me when I saw the play that the tag was on the chin after his hand hit plate. Watching more I can see inconclusive but I don't really see how he was clearly out. Gonzalez is bitching about it on twitter so that's fun. Guess he really wanted to lose by 7 instead.
  7. This part I missed. Anything serious? Maddon says hopefully cramps but they won't know until tomorrow and Edwards described the pain as less than mild.
  8. With Lester slated to start tomorrow, and then back to Wrigley, it feels as though the pendulum's headed back out way, like, a lot. Between the fact that a loss would put us at 3-1 and the potential for us to have a good matchup tomorrow, this game felt sooooo big. And we came through. Cool beans.
  9. I am intrigued by your theories One issue, we're fixed and are gonna rock Kershaw now.
  10. Pete Rose is kind of a goofy old man and I kinda...don't mind him. Tomorrow doesn't feel so dire now. I have faith we can take two in our home ball park if we have to. I'd prefer to win tomorrow and get the most fucked up I've ever gotten in my life Saturday night.
  11. Pretty soon they could have a batter at the plate who could make it a 5 run game!
  12. I missed it. What did Plaschke say? I sure it was gold. LOL @ Buck's silence on the pitchcast replay for the called strike 3. Buck/Smoltz is GREAT when the Cubs are in a laugher. They were fine game 1. They turned weird after Kershaw gave them a Dodger boner.
  13. I lean towards it still would since it isn't a force out and Bryant tagged but I've actually never seen that one play out.
  14. He looked safe live. I'm shocked they called it.
  15. Put in Kershaw or Jensen to stop the bleeding!
  16. Nah, I'm pretty sure this feels like every other Lackey start.
  17. I've decided I love Angel Hernandez and Steve McMichael was wrong to threaten him
  18. I got pissed and turned it off last night. did they talk about how awesome our players are after they sucked?
