  1. Wasn't his name something similar to that? Yeah, James Hoye. Someone - I think TT - made a hilarious post about how he didn't deserve to be called by his real name so we stuck with Boyd. that wasn't the game where cedeno overslid second base on a WALK was it? I think that was against the Cards
  2. Wait, live action he looked really safe. I think the replay shows he at least tied. That was close though.
  3. lol, I was always wondering about your Theriot picture. Were you someone who liked him when he first came up or has it always been ironic?
  4. The way I see it is when you put as much money into something that a lot of people do. It's fair if they hold that product up to their own standards. Regardless of what those standards are.
  5. I agree with the DeRosa thing, I thought that was just another Cubs suck and are doomed joke
  6. you just hit the nail on the head in regards to why jason is so very frustrating he has all the tools...just doesn't seem to ever put it together consistantly If he ever put it together consistantly he would be a very, very good pitcher. Same with Dempster, if he throws strikes he would be tought to hit. If we find a way to get Marquis to pitch like this every day and Dempster continues pitching well this team could be a 100 plus win team. It's too bad it probably won't happen. CUBS are on a pace to win 101 games this year  And I am praying that it keeps up. Although knowing Cubs luck, the Brewers and Cards would win 102 (if that's even possible.)
  7. His career minor-league numbers point to him being pretty much exactly what he was last year. Fair enough, I actually didn't know that. But weren't Cedeno's numbers pretty subpar as well up until his last season? I'm honestly don't know because I don't follow MiLB as much as I should.

  9. He's had lots of movement and his sinker looks beautiful.
  10. The thing about Theriot is, last year was his first year, what if his struggles were a fluke? What if he has adjusted and can get on base consistantly? As long as he is playing well this year you can't count him out.
  11. I think we might want to consider Marquis as a legit PHitter
  12. Remember when we struggled against lefties.
  13. Pat just said he's been on base every game this year. That's not to bad considering he hasn't hit well yet.
  14. he shouldn't even be given a chance to keep it up god i hate his white ass so badly if i see him start another game for this team i am going to start bleeding out of my eye sockets We don't have any other options at this point. If only we had a young SS who tore the crud out of AAA last seaon and had a .385 OBP in the bigs this season going into today. Hey, at least he's playing today. I don't think he is our long term option but you know he is going to be put out there so he might as well play well while he is out there.
  15. Hey I learned how to call for a baseball the first day I played. Maybe the Cubs should try it.
  16. .288/.354/.424 coming into the game with plus defense at the SS position. GET THAT WORTHLESS TURD OFF THE BASEBALL FIELD BEFORE HE DOES ANYMORE DAMAGE TO THE CITY OF CHICAGO AND THE ENTIRE NATION Theriot has been hitting the ball pretty well lately and hopefully he keeps it up
  17. He pitched over half as many pitches as Hill did. I think.
  18. I wish I could afford one. It's all I need to complete my favorite team jersey collection.
