If the Cubs were in this situation I'd probably be dead right now. I can't imagine what the nerves of either of these fan bases is like.

All deciding game should go extra innings. That should be a rule.

They've got to be on the short list for most non-descript/boring playoff team ever. If they win it would be an NLCS team that I could probably name about 5 players on at most coming into the playoffs.

Possible scenario? He wrote it like it was pure fact that if Epstein sign here it would be a part of a trade for Castro, with no sources or listed reasoning for why he is even saying this in the first place. It's kind of a weird article period.

One of the best arms I've ever seen on a catcher. I remember seeing him throw out runners while on his knees. Santiago was one of my favorite players as a little kid and I have no idea why. I forgot he was with the Cubs though. -

I don't find the joke funny because it made no sense and it had sounds of a bitter old man ranting about nothing. I suppose that in itself is funny but not in the way LaRussa intended.

There was some Cubs relief pitcher (I think he was a reliever) who got taken out of a game in the mid-90's I think vs St Louis because of over heating and taken to a hospital I think. He was a big guy who had glasses and didn't look like a pro athlete. Any one know who I'm talking about because this thread reminded me of him. EDIT: It was Chuck McElroy which has been mentioned already but I remember him because of this and his huge glasses. -

It should be interesting, or defense is not that good this year (which is rare) and the offense is the strength. Obviously Penn St's defense is their strength.

Ha yeah. Pretty incredible to go from Favre to Rodgers. Packer fans have been spoiled to say the least. I dont think you guys even know what it is like to not have a good QB. Even those years where Favre was bad, he was no where near as bad as the QBs the Bears have started over the years. We had Matt Flynn start one game. That's all I got.

Why waste a surprise onside kick against the Broncos? Good question but the coverage team isn't great so maybe it will make other teams tentative and assist with that. Regardless it was pretty sweet.
