If Indiana turns it over like they can iowa might beat them by double digits. Of course they can get got from three and make it very difficult. Overall I've enjoyed basketball more than football and i didn't expect that.

Barring your team reading the schedule wrong and not showing up, I can't see how this would remotely worry you. Probably but Iowa basketball feels like the Cubs to me since they haven't won the Big Ten in so long and last time they had a chance they lost to bad teams on the road and finished 2nd. On the other hand Fran is no Alford.

I really hope Iowa doesn't do something dumb and lose to Illinois. Iowa vs Indiana next Thursday could be a bit of fun.

Not hitting threes efficiently, Uthoff struggling and Woodbury in foul trouble is kind of the night mare scenario for Iowa yet they lose a close game at Maryland. I guess if you're gonna lose that's how to do it.

It's weird to watch Iowa sports and feel mostly nothing but joy. Add the Cubs to the mix and I'm in sports heaven.

Purdue forgot who they are and Iowa got hot and stayed hot when chucking. Uthoff may be the player of the year. Iowa matches up perfectly with our weaknesses. That being said if we don't give the ball away over and over and hit our free throws we've got a chance. It's crazy to think Iowa lost to a d2 school and has a legit shot at a national championship. yeah, I didn't have much expectations after the Augustana game and considering how good the football season was going it was hard to care. Then the Iowa State loss was a punch to the gut. I still wonder if only having 1 true center won't hurt them but if they shoot well it's hard to figure out who would beat them.

Considering I've watched sports for a long time I've found it really easy to separate on field accomplishments from a player's personal life.

Green bay being in line for a 2 seed until this game shows how mediocre the NFC is. The Packers really aren't good at all.

The "everybody gets a trophy" complainers are annoying. It's pretty simple to differentiate a trophy that has been given for winning and for participation. It's not ruining anyone's life and at most it goes into a memory book or something.

Iowa drops only to 5th and goes to the Rose Bowl. I suppose that's a fine consolation prize.

Iowa football is a cash cow that can compete with pretty much anyone. Ferentz keeps pulling out those 10+ win seasons often enough to buy him a couple more years. We somehow win it all he gotta be here until he doesn't want to be anymore. Even if they go back to the 7 win seasons all the time.

Pretty much. I've expressed frustration with the guy at times and his style of football is really agitating to watch when the team struggles but Iowa has had some pretty high highs and not many low lows under Ferentz.

I get that sentiment but if they get hot and go through the best teams in the country and beat them all do they then deserve that claim? That's pretty much what every champion in any other sport has to do.

I don't really like the idea of an 128 team league where teams only play 12-13 games being decided with a tournament of so few games and in such a subjective manner
