  1. do you guys happen to know where i could find a copy of one of harry's version of "take me out to the ballgame"? i tried to find one on youtube and itunes but couldn't.. thanks
  2. this guys not exactly fooling us it doesn't look like...
  3. been hanging out with anthony reyes too much i guess.... tool!
  4. here comes larussa with the quadruple switch, bringing in scott spezio to pitch (he's just playing his gut on this one) ozzie smith in to catch and he's just had jocketty sign jack mcdowell and they've got him warming up in the pen....
  5. wow, watching it on gameday and just noticed that! why is rammy batting behind floyd??
  6. what kind of arm does lieberthal have?? worth running on with all of these breaking balls?? nice soto!!!
  7. is it $10,000 total or $10,000 for each time you post that??
  8. has soto thrown out as many people as kendall??
  9. This is isnt a dump lineup, its the best lineup they can put out there against a lefty right now, with Theriot needing a break, and Kendalls hand still swollen. I guess that's true.. i forgot about kendall and the only other difference from the last few weeks is monroe instead of jaque.... and i guess theriot could use one off...
  10. And somebody used the phrase "shot in the arm" when describing Ankiel's positive impact to the Cardinals. Poor choice of words. Or excellent choice of words. Cause ya know. Heroin. would've been more fitting if they said rail in the face... but whatever..
  11. just caught the lineup-- never excited to see cedeno, but maybe a start will get his bat going... monroe- not bad and facing a lefty, and jaque has been struggling a bit, i don't disagree... murton- let him hit, he's been good of late.. let soto get his shot, he could be a big contributor late... i just don't like it when managers do massive changes (dump lineups) with one of your best (if not the best lately) on the mound.. thoughts?? ps. go to hell pierre
  12. absolutely. i am so loyal to the cubs because i want them to be in the playoffs. the "aside from the blah" is a rather large element to push to the side as well. there are few times in my life that have been more enjoyable than the 2003 playoffs. mlb says it right when they say "we live for this". it's true, the cubs in the playoffs is something i live for.
  13. Hm... I think you're mixing up some games... the Sunday game for that series was a blowout from the start, as DeRosa hit a grand slam. The most notable Ward game winner was on a Sunday, but it was against Washington, and it happened before the Atlanta series. I should know, I was at both of these games. :D so that ward hit (outfielders playing in and he hit it over the left fielders head) was before "the meltdown"..
  14. not quite the theatrics of the rami hr to win vs the brewers but definitely felt good... reminds me of the braves game after lou's meltdown that ward had the rbi to win the game (also a sunday game).. seems we have about one of those a month that propel us into a little hot streak.. lets hope this is one!
  15. those are the kind of wins playoff teams get.. very nice.. nothing was great today but managed the win.. kudos to demp!!
  16. jaque cannot see that ball off lefties.. he's so off
  17. ankiel thought it was the 3rd out and didn't throw it back in.. kept running toward the wall... no damage done though.. man on 1st, 2 out... 3-2 cards..
  18. i think that ab was more about the teams collective offensive frustration. as much as all of us get angry i think it may nag at them just as bad and i lost it the second i called that a strike. rami isn't one to normally lose it and i think he was more mad at the lack of offensive productivity.. maybe that'll put a fire under 'em..
  19. Yeah, I was kind of surprised he argued it. he disagreed earlier.. why not now? could see that sequence coming from a mile away..
  20. it's a damn good thing i don't have regular check ups with someone who cared about the health of my finger nails cause they are gone... damn it
  21. And put the winning run on base? floyd.. or.. rami.. i'd walk him...
