  1. Me too, without a cheater. Great his OPS is awesome... but the last thing we need is some old guy who could fall apart at any moment that doesn't play every day.
  2. I don't know about that. All I know is I think we will win the Brewers series later this month, it just sucks Soriano won't be back by then.
  3. How about a monetary wager.
  4. Yea I never remember saying I don't want to win either... odd.
  5. Seems to be working, thanks a bunch!
  6. If he's a homerun or out kinda guy then lets hope he gets the homeruns out of his system now.
  7. Just did what you said, going to test it now.
  8. For some reason, starting today... every time I read a new post and click out of it, it still shows as having new posts. Anyone else noticing this? It just started today... kinda hard to see when there really is new posts. I have tried logging out and back in, no dice.
  9. Cuz he'd have to clear waivers?
  10. Pitcher Selected by Boston Red Sox in 1st Round (47th overall) of 2005 amateur entry draft (June-Reg) . He was a friend of mine in Aurora/Naperville when I was at Waubonsie Valley High School. I just looked him up and he is in AA Portland already in the Redsox organization. Glad to see him doing well, I hit a homerun off of him in softball when we were Juniors during P.E. class. (16" softball of course but who cares). Anyone else been following him? 2007 A+ He was 2-0 1.37 ERA 0.93 WHIP AA He was 6-4 4.79 ERA 1.57 WHIP Not bad for it being his second full season and already being in AA even after being side-lined with an injury.
  11. In a perfect world: Theriot Jones Lee Ramirez DeRosa Zambrano Murton Kendall Pie --------------- But my actual guess: Theriot Jones Lee Ramirez DeRosa Kendall Murton Pie Zambrano
  12. Yea he was brought to Wrigley in an ambulance to watch. Condolences to the Floyd family. After something like this how long is a player usually on the bereavement list. I know it depends on the person, but for people who have seen this before?
  13. It still begs the question, I put Soriano 5th too.
  14. Do you guys really think Lou will move Soriano to 5th spot though?
  15. Yep if the Cards win 2/3 and we do too. We gain the game on the Brewers and the Cards only gain 1 game. Oh man that might be terrible math, but it's WAY better off if the Cardinals do well in this series.
  16. Theriot SS Fontenot 2B Lee 1B Ramirez 3B Soriano LF DeRosa RF Jones CF Kendall C Pitcher P
  17. I don't think anyone would have thought you would say that :P
  18. :( Lots of baseball related deaths it seems this year.
  19. Some sign merchandise, some don't. I remember a long time ago I sent Sosa a card to sign and it came back with no autograph at all, the card was destroyed... and a note that said he doesn't sign merchandise. On the other hand, I've sent players of numerous sports/teams and just sent a note card and a self-addressed stamped envelope and asked nicely for an autograph, and they have returned in kind with a glossy photo or a card signed. It all depends on the person. Dan Marino sent me a colored 8x10 glossy signed and personalized.
  20. Just write to your boy Murton care of the Cubs. He will sign, hell he will probably even personalize it. Anyone know the adress? c/o Matt Murton Wrigley Field 1060 West Addison Chicago, IL 60613-4397
  21. I don't like them when they are against the Cubs, especially pitchers.
  22. I'd rather win without a cheater who can't play everyday.
  23. Yup, I'll be in Europe for that last Astros series that you listed. I'd like to be either up in the standings or completely out of it so I don't have to waste my trip thinking about the Cubs and being unable to follow them. Get MLB.tv :) Depending on where you're going in Europe it's perfect. For me I get home from the bars around 3am and the games start at 3am for me so it's perfect. If you're going to the UK they will likely start at midnight to 1am.
  24. Maybe this is just my dislike for the Cards or my fear of them, But I almost hope that the Brewers take 2 out of 3. Blasphemy!
