Yeah, I really need to be in bed. This is the best AS game I can remember, by far. 94' was a good game. 2002 was also a really good game, ending not withstanding.

Johnny Bench, Hank Aaron, Joe Morgan. Ron Santo had to be escorted away. Aaron was there. On my recollection of who actually are HOFers that are still living that I didn't see there: Musial, Bench, Morgan, Jim Bunning, Catfish Hunter, Duke Snider, Eddie Matthews, Koufax, Red Schoendienst, Yaz?, Nolan Ryan Some of those might have been there, but I just missed them. Catfish Hunter and Eddie Matthews are dead.

Guys, I think if we all band together and mount a campaign to keep calling Jim Hendry, it will really increase our chances to get Harden. The sooner we call, the sooner the trade will happen. Clearly, Hendry doesn't know that we all want him to make a trade for a starter, so I think this campaign will really motivate him. And if any secretary tries to give you some bogus excuse like, "Mr. Hendry is in a meeting," berate her until you get through. Oh, and please don't make fun of me. Chances are I'll have a life-threatening disease someday, and then you'll feel bad, won't you?

I live near Fort Wayne. Am I supposed to drive to St. Louis to this game? I just don't understand the rules at all. Bloomington is over four hours away from St. Louis (and Chicago, for that matter -- well, barely over four for either, but still) and we don't get the Cubs or Cardinals local broadcasts here. The restrictions simply make no sense whatsoever. Worse, I usually remember them, but totally forgot that the earlier TBS game was blacked out. ESPN shows ESPNEWS, TBS simply goes to black dead air for three hours. You don't understand the rules because they're antiquated. If I remember correctly, the blackout territories were designated more than 50 years ago, and nothing has been changed since. Bob Dupuy has said, though, that they will address the blackout territories after this season.

Now for a person like me who lives in Bloomington, Indiana and doesn't have Comcast SportsNet, it flat out doesn't make any sense. And that's why MLB has decided to reconsider its blackout restrictions after this season.

Every team in baseball today is wearing the special 4th of July hats. They're trying to do it at least once in each ballpark, which is why they were worn in SF.
