  1. No, he's retiring so he can have more time to blog. He'll also probably ask ESPN for a job announcing, too.
  2. That was great.
  3. He's going to hit a HR.
  4. False.
  5.
  6. Talent doesn't matter. The only thing that can win a World Series is passion.
  7. Is it just me, or does he write about the Cubs a lot?
  8. They're actually going to lose it today. I mean, it's the Cardinals so they're going to use pixe dust to take the lead.
  9. You're right. It's funny that Mariotti mentions this in his article tomorrow. He really ripped the White Sox to shreds, especially Williams. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/mariotti/1015873,Mariotti062009.article I actually liked that article. WTG, Mariotti.
  10. Quite funny to see the Z melts down cause of bad defense being brought out after he recently calmly got about 8 outs in an inning(was that the 130 pitch game?) because the defense was so terrible. well that and what happened to BMAN89ROCZ His irrational hate towards Derosa was amazing. Also, those nicknames were incredible.
  11. Thinking about this makes me feel really sick.
  12. really? It's one of the things I'm looking forward to most. It's like ND football 07. Yeah, I'm one of those crazy fans that hopes his team wins.
  13. Indiana will...uh, I don't even want to think about it.
  14. I remember when we traded for Aramis. I wasn't very smart back then and I was more excited about getting Lofton.
  15. Yes. Just one of the multitude of sagely decisions made by the Pirates in their soon-to-be realized dream of never again fielding a winning team. Aramis has taken as many walks this year as he did during the entire 2007 season. Anybody have any idea what got into him? Dusty Baker got out of him.
  16. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerry_Wood Beautiful.
  17. Exactly. Strike while the iron is hot. Would this be a salary dump or is he a FA after the year? If it's not a salary thing, why not try to ship Marquis over, seeing as he's about at his peak value at the moment. I believe he's signed through at least 09. He's signed through 2010, but he can opt out at the end of the year.
  18. Who's talking up his intangibles? And about comparing Fukudome to 2004 Hatteberg/2003 John Olerud if his numbers fall, you must be expecting a big dropoff because here are the OPS's of those players: .787 .762 .847 Guess which one is Fukudome's.
  19. I accept anyone who helps us win.
  20. sweet, although he's sucking this year and has a career high 12 wins. I would rather go after Harden since they both have severe injury problems but Harden is a much better pitcher when healthy. Don't ever judge a pitcher by win totals. Burnett isn't nearly as injury prone as Harden.
