  1. They need to use that song every year.
  2. For a team that was supposed to be sellers, surprised we couldn't find any takers for Fontenot, Baker, or Nady. I guess there's always a waiver deal.
  3. I can never get enough of that. +1,000,000
  4. Welp, that could be it. Gonna miss ya Teddy. Couldn't have asked for more out of the guy over the last four years.
  5. Yea, I keep seeing game recaps on Sportscenter where the on-air personality is talking about Pitcher X "taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning." Yawn.
  6. How did this idiotic thread get to page two? Ugh.
  7. Great game, I was there too. Upper deck, first base line. What was the final score that day?
  8. Wow, Silva's ERA creeping up near 4. How quickly he came back to earth.
  9. This is bar-none the most horrendous commentary I've heard during a baseball game in my life. How much longer are they going to dissect that [expletive] Werth groundout? Christ.
  10. Gorzo looks better than I've ever seen him since he put on a Cub uniform and these three clowns STILL haven't shut up about Halladay. Unreal.
  11. Joe, Jon and Orel are just making every excuse in the book for the Phillies tonight. The wind, the grass, the sun. Too bad the radio broadcast is 10 seconds ahead of the ESPN feed....
  12. Uh, it was the Brewers who needed to lose, not the Cardinals. I stand corrected.
  13. Batting around in the ninth, awesome work bullpen.
  14. Haha, I was there. Moments after the game ended, the Reds shut down the out-of-town scoreboard (The Cards were playing at the time and needed to lose for us to clinch). I want to see the Reds blow the division SO badly. I have friends that are Cards and Brewer fans, but there is nothing more unbearable than a fairweather Reds fan.
  15. With any other GM I'd feel confident in getting value for Lilly, but I'm prepared for something like an Omar Infante + PTBNL.
  16. That's the first thing I thought of when I heard the comments. Love ya, Mad Dog. The Bartman [expletive] is media created, The only people that have talked about the guy since 2004 are on ESPN. Votto is an effed-up guy. Living in Cincy, I've heard plenty of stuff about him and he's a mess. Not to mention a grade-A douche. Curious what Reds44 has to say about this. Hopefully not "This really shows how much intensity Votto has" like every other Reds fan has been saying. This really has nothing to do with the Cubs, this has to do with an immature, classless ballplayer taking a cheap shot against a player who is obviously respected and well-liked by his peers.
  17. Yea, I'm in Cincy and that's pretty much it right there. They don't like us because we take over their park when the Cubs are in town, we have a high payroll, and we blame our futility on Bartman and a goat. I heard it all day today. They are the stereotypical redheaded stepchildren. Fairweather fans at their finest. It's brutal living in a town full of Reds fans, especially when the Reds are winning. I really hate living in this redneck town sometimes.
  18. Wow, I sort of expected a link or some sort of source (reliable or not) when I saw the thread title. What was I thinking?
  19. I'm so happy that I was on the phone with my Dad for the last 10-20 minutes. What'd he say? And does he not realize he is one of the top ten catchers in baseball? Probably higher than that but I'm not not going to work to prove Morgan wrong. Russell Martin was up to bat and Morgan was talking about how he and Soto had started their careers strong and then had trouble after their rookie year. Then Morgan says "And both Martin and Soto have turned things around - well, the *Cubs* believe Soto has turned things around," as if he thought Soto was a bum.
  20. LOL at Morgan insinuating Soto hasn't turned it around this year.
