weird to say given he immediately gave up 3 hrs, but feels like the cubs should have prob done more against that stiff/not allowed him to go 5+ innings.
another way to look at it is in this hypothetical where the cubs miss the playoffs this year, ross would have been the manager for 4 seasons and won 0 playoff games. that should get him fired. kind of surprised that’s even debatable.
well yeah, a) taking taillon out b) taking merryweather out after 13 dominating pitches and c) going with cuas in a 0-0 game are all questionable/terrible decisions, but the offense doing nothing in the last 24 hours is the bigger problem.
