  1. cubs 0-6 on balls hit 97.5 or harder in coors field.
  2. oof. looking forward to boxberger trying to nail down a one run save tonight…
  3. weird to say given he immediately gave up 3 hrs, but feels like the cubs should have prob done more against that stiff/not allowed him to go 5+ innings.
  4. can see how this dude finds himself with a 6+ era
  5. between swanson, tauchman, madrigal and candelario, the cubs sure have a lot of unplayably bad bats right now.
  6. I mean the streakiness is fine if he ends up with overall good numbers, which he currently does not have.
  7. at least the cubs also used all their good relievers in losing these last two games.
  8. remember all that stuff a while back about how Swanson was the best FA signing? lol.
  9. the best part about (probably) losing these last two games is that we used our good relievers a bunch to do it.
  10. cubs offense is so objectively terrible dbacks playing for 1 in extras on the road
  11. sad that the “rally” consisted of a broken bat blooper, misplayed grounder and a non competitive walk.
  12. just need another bunt single followed by a two out pop up that falls on the infield dirt.
  13. didn’t think the offense could be any more pathetic than it had been the last two days.
  14. another way to look at it is in this hypothetical where the cubs miss the playoffs this year, ross would have been the manager for 4 seasons and won 0 playoff games. that should get him fired. kind of surprised that’s even debatable.
  15. yeah but it might still be 0-0 if he hadn't managed the pitching like he did.
  16. ross has done a ton of dumb horsefeathers today and probably cost the cubs the game, but i'm fine with alzolay here.
  17. well yeah, a) taking taillon out b) taking merryweather out after 13 dominating pitches and c) going with cuas in a 0-0 game are all questionable/terrible decisions, but the offense doing nothing in the last 24 hours is the bigger problem.
  18. remember the other night when i was like "ross keeps making the cubs lose games" and everyone was like "stop being so negative."
  19. truly insane bullpen decisions if alzolay is not avaiable.
  20. oh come on. just stick with merryweather for another inning.
