i prefer mississippi because it bothers OMC. also like the university of old mississippi. is there any way the bcs rankings of wisconsin, osu and msu could change next week even though none of them play? i would enjoy that.

can you explain your disdain for boise? The blue field. The hatred is completely irrational but they infuriate me, and I'm pretty sure it goes back to the Blue field. The Statue of Liberty play, the "America's Sweetheart" crap. The lack of any good teams on their schedule. The fact they can play one game a season and go to a BCS game. yeah, i'm SO sick of the whopping two BCS bowls they've been in.* *and won.

oregon barely beat cal, which got blown out by nevada. yet this game is evidence that boise is nowhere near the best team in the country. right. Oregon has to play more than 3 real teams this year though. They've played two bowl eligible teams this season. Congrats. Pac-10 still > WAC by a wide wide margin. OH REALLY

at least it wasn't a total waste of a weekend for isu sports. isu is up 3 against creighton with 10 seconds left and their best FT shooter at the line for 2. of course, he misses them both. creighton player dribbles down the court and gets fouled on a 2 pt attempt with 3 seconds left. makes the first, misses the second, and of course creighton gets the rebound. creighton player is fouled on a shot with 1.6 left and of course makes both free throws to tie the game. then this... http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=819177185360&oid=49525610444&comments appears well after the buzzer, but the game wasn't on tv, so no review. i'll take it.

always fun to lose by 2 scores when you outgain your opponent. probably would have been a different game with arnaud in there, but oh well. if you can't beat a winless colorado team 2 days after they fire their coach when you're playing for a bowl bid, you probably don't deserve to go to a bowl.

i believe newton. i mean, he was willing to play at mississippi state for $180,000, so it makes perfect sense that he would be willing to play at auburn for $0.00. reminds me of that one time that baseball free agent wanted a 5 yr/$100 million contract, but then ended up signing for 5 yr/$0.

nebraska w/o taylor martinez isn't all that impressive. iowa state outgained them, out-first downed them and handled them pretty well.

i must say, i do feel a little better about isu's chances against mizzou.

i think he thought the TE was so wide open he didn't want to overthrow it. i don't think he saw the nebraska guy coming over the top.

that was a real gut punch. pissed iowa state sat on it with 40 seconds left, 3 TO's (nebraska had one) and a kicker who had made a 56 yarder earlier in the game. also, nebraska fans are miserable pieces of [expletive]. that fake fg was in the end zone where we were sitting. at first i thought it was a botched snap and i got real sad. then i realized it was a fake and i was pissed. then i saw the TE wide open and i had a moment of great joy. then the backup [expletive] punter threw a lollipop sally ass lob ball off his wrong foot and i got very sad again. rollercoaster of emotions.

I love it....everyone called me insane when I suggested Michigan wouldnt make a bowl when they were 5-0. They told me this year was different than last year and UM was better. Now it comes down to beating Purdue, a team we lost to last year at home. I say its about 50-50 we beat Purdue, thus about 52% chance we make a bowl congrats?

i think it's pretty reasonable for packer fans to not like favre.

Unless something historically awful were to happen, like a 2-win season next year or something, he will get at least 3 years. But he has lost much of the fan base, including me, completely in the last 8 days. BS. If he wins 9 games next year, you'll be back. so will most the woe is me fan base. There's no way to know how many years Kelly will get at this point. How much deeper down the rabbit hole will UM go with Rich Rod before pulling that plug? If he wins 9 games next year, great. I always want Notre Dame to win. But I won't believe that him winning big is going to happen until I see it - and I don't think I'm going to see it. at least tulsa's off the schedule next year so that should help.

KU'll take him. holy smokes kansas is TERRIBLE. that was a brutal pillow fight to watch for a half. thankfully iowa state woke up in the second half and didn't piss their bowl hopes away.

if missouri is in the top 10 by the iowa state faces them, isu will have faced SIX teams that have, at some point, been ranked in the top 10. yikes.
