  1. 1) Is Modzilla a girl? 2) Is she hot? Uncertain of your gender but interested in hot girls? hmmm My bad, I didn't know I couldn't say that, thought it was harmless sarcasm
  2. I don't understand the first part and can't figure out how you can defend the second part. Every GM takes a risk when they make a trade or sign a free agent. It's the GM's job to determine the risk and reward. We gave up a fricken dfa'd catcher and mid-level prospect so there is virtually no risk. As far as reward goes, He hit well just last season an through his career so there is high reward. It was a risk worth taking, I don't remeber anyone blaiming Hedry when he resigned Lee just to get a broken wrist.
  3. Any more news on Dunn? or Posada  (cue Vance)
  4. Mind you, that's a play that Theriot very well might have needed to dive at just to get to. As such, there's no guarantee he would have made an error. Better range gives more chances to make "errors." The notion that Cedeno is seemingly head and shoulders faster than Riot is ridiculous, Cedeno barely has the advantage. Theriot has faster pure speed, but Cedeno has better agility and instincts. Baserunning speed doesn't have much to do with an infielder's range. Cedeno barely has the edge in range.

  6. The trade sucks, but I won't blame Hendry. It was a sell low, high reward tht could've worked real nicely. Unfortunately it didn't. It was a smart move that didn't pan out.
  7. Good. I hope it happens. Well Bruce proved me wrong, Jimbo does have a brain.
  8. No news on severity. Anyone know what the hell hammy tendinitsis is?

  10. Is diamond dude seriously suggesting Murton is a fourth outfielder, how many fourth outfielders are career .294 hitters with a OBP of .363 along with a slg of .441? Oh and saying that we like him because he's white, are you serioius? Are you suggesting that we are all biggots on this board?
  11. So, did he go like "WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!"? Or was it this? "WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! (snarl) WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!"? my guess is the latter
  12. he'd probably hit 40 homers too.
  13. very funny, silly little barrett
  14. You're kidding right, .297 .365 .809 in a full season of ML playing. You're comment is laughable.
  15. It's official and it is Moore. Cedeno will be there for tonight's game. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20070724&content_id=2105941&vkey=pr_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  16. Sorry, was signed and they planned him to play RF. Then it was center then they decided to move him to left and throw the whole outfield into a major problem defensively. I'm only 20, my memory can't be that bad. I recall him being signed to play left, then center, then left again. apparently it is. Many people on this board have said he was signed to play right.

  18. He will. And why in the world are you so certain? You probably assume Murton's numbers guarantee him success, yet Ronny's mean nothing? Laughable. Murton, lifetime .804 OPS Cedeno, lifetime .618 OPS Also Murton makes more contact, has more power, and is more patient. See my point?
  19. Darn, if only we had a 25-year-old in the minors who has a full season experience in the majors. Who can play an acceptable right field! Because we certainly don't have that. We have a left fielder who has a cannon for an arm yet doesn't move to right even though he was signed to play right.
  20. Minor detail but I would much prefer Fontenot over Theriot at 2B. But your point about upgrading the offense stands either way. Yes Fontenot at second and Cedeno/Theriot in SS.
  21. Slumping? His power is a little down over the last couple of weeks, but I would hardly call him slumping. He's slumping because he has a .294/.318/.341/.659 line in 20 July games, with a 15/3 K/BB ratio. My prediction is that his poor strike zone judgment gets exploited just like it was last year.    You're CORRECT.
