They are so rare but theres gonna be one sitting on the free agent market that we could possibly get if we wanted. Therefore trading Wood or Zambrano for something we can't get on the free agent market and replacing him with a guy that will be available is a good idea. It's a little risky but a good idea nonetheless. -

Which is why trading Wood or Zambrano for an elite OF bat, and then signing AJ Burnett is not too far off the beaten path strategy-wise. Execution-wise is a whole other ballgame. Yeah, thats actually a very good idea. I'd much rather trade wood and keep zambrano, but im sure wood's trade value is nowhere near zambrano's. Hoops, who do you suppose we could get for one of them? I saw someone say mench and delucci or nix, but i dont think texas would give up mench and another ML outfielder for wood, maybe zambrano but not for wood. You might be able to get Mench for Wood straight up, but then again i thought wood doesn't want to go to the AL...and therefore he wouldnt waive his no trade to Texas -
I dont think its fair to say we have been horribly weak at getting production from right field. 48 runs and 44 rbis aint too bad production...and a .276/.337/.474 line isn't horrible. If Nomar was healthy and performing like he should and Corey progressed like we expected him to, Burnitz's performance would be enough for this team to compete. I think Burnitz is the least of our problems. That being said, im not surprised. I'm surprised with how horrible we have been playing lately but overall this whole season im not surprised. I still think we can turn this around and slip in as a wild card. It won't be easy and the team needs another good hitter and everyone to get and remain healthy. I'm totally off topic so i'll stop...yeah, not surprised....

Yeah, i wonder what Dusty was thinking. Why take the chance of getting Z hurt by having him catch? With the way the offense has performed the first two games of the series we will need Barrett in there. Good move letting him pitch...sacrifice the pitching a bit but boost the offense.

Hmmm, Soriano is a strange player. I didn't realize his away numbers have been that horrible the past two years. In 2003 he was .306/.350/.567/.917 on the road and in 2002 he was .319/.352/.582/.933. 2001 he wasn't that bad either on the road. His career numbers aren't horrible on the road either. Nonetheless, i would love to have him if we didn't have two solid 2nd basemen already. I love Todd Walker and want him here for a long time as the everyday 2nd baseman. If Soriano would be willing to play leftfield or centerfield it might be a good option (depending what we'd have to trade). It won't happen though. And by the way he'd be a better option than patterson and neifi at the top of the order but that's not saying much. His career .321 OBP and .503 SLG is better suited to hit towards the middle of the lineup. -

pretty interesting to read threw some of the names in here and see how they've done the first two months. I actually said Aaron Boone and Jason Giambi...but then i really hit on some guys like chad cordero, huston street, chase utley, jon garland, kevin mench, etc...

Am I the only one who doesn't think Corey will be traded? Not at all...i think the chances of him being traded are VERY small.

I wanna see Duhon, Hinrich, Deng, Chandler, and Curry starting. I think Chandler has more than earned a starting spot. A.D. is only getting older anyways. You'll still Noccioni and Big Ben coming off the bench. Everyone seems down on getting Donyell Marshall back but I would love to see him back with the Bulls and I think he would be a great role player for this team. This was a great season for the Bulls. Started 0-9 had injuries throughout the year to probably their 4 best players (Hinrich, Curry, Chandler, and Deng) and still got the 4th seed. Great year and I know this is no abberation. This team is for real. Can't wait till the 2005-2006 season. =D>

Aye... Althought I just want to say that for me, this is all just a big bonus. There is no way the Bulls can dissapoint me at this point. That's my attitude too. We can win at Washington and bring it back to Chicago for a game 7, but even if we lose, this has been a great season. I did think the Bulls would be good this year, but I didn't honestly think they'd be this good. Next year we should be even better. Give us Curry and Deng back and another year of experience for everyone (plus this playoff experience) and we should be a VERY good team. I hope we can sign Donyell Marshall also.

Yeah, I don't think this series would have even been close if we had Eddy and Luol. They would have struggled to even win one game.

If we could have only played like how we played this last quarter for the entire game. I hope they can come out from the beginning in Washington and play a good 4 quarters.
