  1. Now its me with the 59th pick ill take WR Chris Chambers of THE Miami Dolphins
  2. sorry i went out of order...
  3. With the 22nd pick 4th and goal selects RB Brian Westbrooke, Philadelphia Eagles
  4. I'm sorry i just got home. With the second overall pick the 4th and goal select RB, Shaun Alexander.
  5. I dont see why nobody would want him if we can get him to sign a 2 or even 3 year deal. He is EXACTLY the type of hitter we need. He has a high OBP and walks more than he strikes out. I'd like to put him in front of Lee but im sure it would go Lee-Giles-Ramirez, which isn't too bad. I'd love to see it get done. I wouldnt mind having his brother either.
  6. BEFORE TODAY MARK HAS GIVEN UP 5 TOTAL RUNS IN THE FIRST INNING (3 WERE IN ONE GAME AGAINST STL) That's not consistently sucking. Shhh, you totally just killed his point...
  7. FUNDAMENTALS! Its not that hard to pull a grounder to the right side of the infield. Come on, Cubs!
  8. You would think that anyone listed in Canseco's book who actually did not take steroids would have sued him already. I mean if im a pro athlete who hasn't cheated and im accused in a book of cheating (especially by taking steroids) im suing the author of the book for slander. This leads me to believe that Canseco's book is probably pretty true.
  9. How great would having Soriano in LF really be? He is a good power hitter, especially for a second baseman, but how much better is he than an average LF? He also has a pretty low OBP. I guess I'd do it as long as the Cubs didn't have to give up too much talent or take on too much money. Maybe Hendry could pry a reliever from them too. For some reason I thought he had a better OBP. Only a .322 career OBP. I change my opinion...i'd pass
  10. If this is true and if soriano is actually willing to move to LF this is a great move. I realize the past two years he has been horrible on the road but the 3 years before that he was awesome on the road and actually better on the road than at home. Hmm...well have to wait and see
  11. I think Neifi was bunting for a hit, and he nearly got it. Yeah it was a drag bunt trying to get on base and he was out by a half step. Not a bad play. At the worst it moves the runner to 3rd with only one out and at best he beats it out and we got guys at the corners with nobody out. If Hollandsworth executes we at least chip one run off that lead...
  12. Good thing we did that double switch to get Murton out of the game
  13. I think thats where he fits in best. He could probably also lead off. If his power develops he could be moved down in the order but with his skill set right now he looks best in the 2 hole.
  14. The way you phrased this (even though it is a quote from the article) does not convey the fact that this is what one writer THINKS should happen. It is by no way even yet a rumor. How bad for the Cubs would it be if the Astros added an impact bat? Very bad in my opinion. Adding Moises Alou to the Astros would make them a lot better. Maybe his poor attitude and bad base running will throw off their team chemistry though
  15. Hmm, thats close. I dont see why you need another starter if you got 5 good ones. I would think that would be enough but i play in h2h leagues so maybe roto is different. I think Johan is gonna have another huge second half like he did last year and i'd try to hold on to him. I'm pretty opinion-less on the trade. If having 6 solid starters as opposed to only 5 will help you more than the downgrade from Mench in the outfield then i guess you do it.
  16. Alright, thanks. I originally made the offer of Johan for Hill/Hernandez/B.J. Upton but he didnt wanna trade Hernandez and Upton. I think I'll see about doing Hermanson for Hill though. My team is done this year so im looking to retool for next year.
  17. Okay this is in a dynasty league, meaning you keep all your players from year to year. Which of the following sides would you rather have? Johan Santana OR Felix Hernandez Rich Hill I have Johan and im thinking im not gonna do it but I wanted everyone's opinion. I'm obsessed with Felix Hernandez and thats why I'm even considering it. Also would you trade Dustin Hermanson to get Rich Hill in a dynasty league?
  18. I'm down.
  19. I think Austin Kearns will be a Cub within a week and i'll be very happy if it happens.
  20. Yeah, i am glad to see him doing well. He was a good guy and had a great 03 season. I hope he continues this success but i don't know if it will happen. Has anyone actually seen him pitch? Anyone know how hard he's been throwing?
  21. Roast, i think it would be in your best interest to trade Roger Clemens to that Heavy Hitters team...you shouldnt ask for anything more than Bob Howry or Ryan Church though.
