  1. I had that problem....just keep reclicking to purchase and it'll eventually go through. I had that with my 2nd purchase.
  2. got 6 bleacher tix to the sat and sun sox games! didn't reopen any windows after the 1st purchase and my windows still worked.
  3. vance...were u using the same windows u had originally opened when you got in the 2nd time?
  4. for those that got in...are u opening new windows or just using the same ones that were already open?
  5. Are you keeping the same windows you already opened to try to get more tickets or reopening windows?
  6. Be patient. I've had that in years past. It'll work.
  7. I got through once...are the rest of my windows still able to be selected or should I reopen a bunch of windows?
  8. Just got through and got 6 bleacher tickets to the saturday cubs/sox game!
  9. You need to do it from a blank browser and then paste the url into each one. I've got about 134 windows going. For now. I don't have to paste the url into a blank browser. I just hit File then New Window and mine open fine.
  10. is it better to open new tabs or new windows?
  11. I never liked Sammy, however, I'd like to see him do well. He was a jerk but he was a very productive player for the Cubs and I respect him for that. I did like the ad he put out in the paper when he left Chicago. That was pretty classey.
  12. In his post-game press conference, Skiles said it wasn't serious and Gordon would have returned to the game if they had needed him in the 4th. He's expected to play against the Cavs this Thursday. Good to hear. Also heard on ESPN that there are some Bonzi Wells-for-Sweetney trade rumors around. Yeah I heard that too. Also, I've been hearing a lot about PJ Brown to the Mavs or Suns and the Bulls inquiring about Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Zach Randolph.
  13. Really.......... because you can get an absolute read on someone's personality by watching them on tv for a couple of minutes? That's what I was thinking. I know if I was coming to a new team and on national tv...id just be worried about saying the right things. Especially if I'm just Mark DeRosa and not Alfonso Soriano or some other "star".
  14. I still think I'd rather have Deng, Gordon, Thomas, Thabo over Careny, Roy, Gasol. Yeah, the latter might be better right now, but in the long run I'd rather have Deng and company. Really? Agree to disagree I guess. I like the balance in my lineup. Inside scoring with Gasol, and a 2 guard that can score in the post as well. Oh, well, what's done is done, but I have little faith in Paxon at this point. I agree. You're lineup is more balanced and that's why I said it's probably a better team for the present. However, I just don't want to trade Deng. I think he's going to be a real special player. He already puts up nearly 20 ppg, plays solid defense, shoots a high FG%, and moves great without the ball. I also think Thomas is going to be a very good player in the NBA.

  16. Well they are all public or winners leauges...and I've never found a way to get multiple teams into a public league. For the record, I was trying to find a way to get me and my stepdad in the same public league...and it didnt work. That said, it's really not hard to finish at least top 3 in a public league. Half the teams are dead after the first month. Nonetheless, it is impressive. Just saying its quite possible to do.
  17. Pax has followed that plan so far. Pau's four years younger than Garnett, and their production's within shouting distance this season -- KG, 25.39 to Pau, 23.63. I adore the Big Ticket but I'm not sure I'd give up much more for him than I would for Gasol at this point. I think the point is, do we think of the solution in terms of getting another player? Or do we need to think about whether we've reached the ceiling of what Skiles can accomplish as an NBA coach? I don't believe in coaches that can only take a team so far. I think you are either a good coach or a bad coach. Skiles is a good coach. Wasn't Tony Dungy perceived as a coach who couldn't get his team "over the hump"? Yet he was the coach that brought home the Lombardi trophy to Indianapolis. Do you think if Skiles was the coach of the Bulls teams in the 90s that they wouldn't have won a Championship? I'm pretty sure they would have. My biggest problem with Skiles is that he isn't playing Tyrus Thomas enough. I think we will, however, see more of TT in the 2nd half and into the playoffs. I'm pretty sure that Bulls team would have run Skiles out of town. Jordan owned that ballclub; Jackson was able to get out of the way enough, I don't think Skiles would. And that's what I'm getting at. There's a certain player Skiles works best with. Often they aren't the superstars. Gasol's a good example. Everyone wants to bring him in. Have you seen Gasol? This is not the kind of player who will react well when Skiles screams at him, in my opinion. He'll likely shut down until he's traded. He just seems very low-key to me. If you want to build a team of tough, gritty journeymen then Skiles is your guy. He did a good job pulling us out of the doldrums----taking players who just wanted to work hard and using them to put up respectable records. But championships in the NBA are about superstars. And I question whether Skiles is the right coach to work with a true superstar player. Or whether he will allow any of the potential stars on his team to flourish enough to reach their potential. Isn't Pat Riley kind of similar to Skiles in coaching style. I mean he suspended players last year for being overweight. Skiles hasn't even done that to Sweets. Riley made it work with Shaq, Payton, and D Wade. I'm pretty confident that Skiles could make it work with a superstar, as long as he isn't a punk. Why can't players take some criticsm from their coach. Who cares if he yells and makes you work hard. You're supposed to do that.
  18. I don't believe in coaches that can only take a team so far. I think you are either a good coach or a bad coach. Skiles is a good coach. I do think one good coach can be better than another good coach, but I agree with this sentiment for the most part. I'll always blame talent before I blame coaching. I'm all for the Bulls getting more talented. Just not convinced trading for Gasol or another star will accomplish that. Everything depends on the price. Well of course. My point wasn't to say that there's only good and only bad. Of course there are different levels of good and different levels of bad. My point was that if a coach is a good coach, which I believe Skiles is, then he's just as capable of leading a team to a championship. I don't believe there are coaches who can only resurrect teams from the dead but not lead them to titles.

  20. As 1908 said, the deal was never Chandler for Brown. The deal was Chandler for an expiring contract (and therefore cap space). Chandler is not "flourishing" quite as much as some people think. He's playing pretty good. And he's probably playing a little better than Ben Wallace, but the thing he's doing now that he wasn't able to do consistently enough in the past is stay out of foul trouble and stay on the court. He's averaging 34.3 minutes per game. I don't have his numbers from last year, but that has to be a big improvement. I was honestly expecting more out of Big Ben for a few more season, but unfortunately that doesn't look like it's going to happen. As for losing to the Bobcats. I think it had more to do with returning from a 7 game road trip out west, then playing one game at home and then playing the next day back on the road. I didn't see the game, but the guys had to be worn out. Not making excuses, they should still win. But I'm not ready to hang Skiles and trade half the team because of it.
  21. This team needs a shakeup. This team just isn't all that great. Oh and its coach sucks. The coach is fine, the players aren't playing. He isn't fine. Thomas doesn't play near enough. He took what 2 and a half years to start Ben Gordon? I agree with you on the Tyrus Thomas issue, but disagree about BG. Why does it matter who starts? BG was getting more minutes than Duhon, so it didn't really matter. He tried starting him and he initially played worse than he did when he was coming off the bench. I didn't see it as too big of an issue. TT, on the other hand, should be getting A LOT more minutes. Just looked at the box score. Okafor played like a beast. 21 boards and 6 blocked shots.
  22. JOSE TABATA, Brad Lincoln, Delmon Young (he must be counted as a major leaguer), Adam Lind, Jacob Ellsbury, Billy Rowell, Travis Snider, Clay Buchholz, Brandon Erbe, NICK ADENHART, Jeff Clement, Adam Jones, Brandon Morrow, Chris Volstad, Elvis Andrus, Mike Pelfrey, Brett Sinkbeil, Felix Pie, Johnny Cueto, Neil Walker, Chris Young, Greg Reynolds, TROY TULOWITZKI, Jason Hirsh, Troy Patton, Nolan Reimold, Ryan Sweeney. Those are in no particular order, but Nick Adenhart, Jose Tabata, and Troy Tulowitzki would certainly be near the top.
  23. Z is a lot better than Zito. this is true.
