  1. As long as its anyone not named Lilly, we have a pretty good shot.
  2. I thought that with Sorianos recent stupidity, this was an essential read. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Soriano-joins-the-dumbest-on-field-injuries-in-s?urn=mlb,77167
  3. 5- We have 2, possibly 3 guys who can replace Lilly in the rotation, hopefully sooner than later
  4. I wonder if Teddy Garbage will be making his next start or they'll skip him one. I dont think thats unreasonable, especially when you have 2 guys who can be given the start in Lieber and Marshall.
  5. At least we have the Pirates this weekend. Hopefully Hill can step it up.
  6. You know what they say, you cant win em all, especially when you have Ted Lilly pitching every 5th game.
  7. Fontenots been given the Todd Hollandsworth treatment. Hes good as a pinch hitter with a spot start, but then they try to make him a full time starter, and its ludicrous.
  8. If ever there was a bullpen you can scratch out 6 runs in 3 innings, Cincinnatis would be the one.
  9. Boy, it really doesnt matter what the wind does as long as we have Ted Lilly blowing. This is becoming a situation that is going to need to be adressed.
  10. and of course theres Josh "David Kelton 2K8" Kroeger.
  11. you use the term "earning" very loosely.
  12. Hes doing alright for himself in Iowa. 2-0, 0.00 ERA, 9 SO in 8 innings. Granted, none of us trust him within 100 miles of Wrigley, but Im sure if he keeps it up, he'll get 1 last call up before the organization gives up on him once and for all.
  13. Hopefully DeRosa and Theriot can continue the Brian Who? Campaign.
  14. Dick Sisler and Urban Shocker are both my favs.
  15. Jeff Samardzia, I hope. I expect an unsuccessful call up sometime in 2009, and then come in full time in 2010 or 11.
  16. One day, the guys going to be 35 years old in Iowa with an ERA in the mid 4s, and Hendry will still refuse to trade him.
  17. I think we may be seeing us some E-Patt tonight.
  18. Hopefully Fogg is as good a hitter as he is a picher and we can get out of this with 1 run on a walk and 2 flukes hits.
  19. The Cards are treating the Brewers to a similar bottom of the 1st.
  20. Brian who now? I can just taste that juicy Reds bullpen.
  21. With Soriano on the DL, and Theriot actually playing well we may need a new scapegoat when Ted Lilly isnt pitching.
