  1. If the Cubs bring the same game to Coors as they've had the past week, it should be a very fun couple of games to watch.
  2. second close game in a row broken wide open by a big late inning, 2 out Ronny Cedeno hit. Its going to be hard to keep him out of the lineup. Theriot chose a bad time for a back ache. Kosuke Fukudome must be Japanese for "As Advetised"
  3. If theres a better late inning bullpen combo in baseball tham Marmol/Wood, I hope we never have the misfortune of facing them.
  4. The best part about that is that he's supposedly a vegetarian now. Must be eating lots of mashed potatoes. He probably doesn't realize that gravy isn't a vegetable. Neither are Twinkies, Doughnuts, ding dongs, cheetos, funyons, ho-hos...
  5. what happened to not putting in Howry in tight situations? Oh well, we'll see what happens.
  6. gotta love Gagne, unless of course you're a Brewers fan.
  7. It's too bad for Ryan, but if Ronny keeps putting together good ABs and can actually take the everyday job, I think it's better for the team this year and the future. If they both keep producing, one will be our shortstop of the future, and one will be trade bait. Cedeno seems to have more of an upside.
  8. They seem to be ignoring the fact that The Brewers suck.
  9. This is the Marlins were talking about. As soon as they have to pay him, they'll be throwing him at us, as well as the Yanks, Red Sox, Mets, Tigers, and Dodgers.
  10. I guess they figure they wont be contending any time soon, so they may as well give their top prospects a little extended-extended Spring Training.
  11. This would be a great tim for Lilly to step it up. especially when were about to take a trip to Colorodo and Washington and pick up a quick 4 wins.
  12. That felt damn good. Not only did we beat a legit team, but we shut them down.
  13. heres where the old Cubs would follow up with a strike out and a double play. lets see what these guys do.
  14. Z didnt look like he was ready to come out. Lets hope this doesnt come back to haunt us.
  15. that last half inning was a lot scarier than it needed to be.
  16. The difference is that Neifi was a career role player/journeyman aside from a few good years in Coors Field, and we dont even know what % of that time he was on the joice, where as Theriot is a prospect who had some pretty respectable AAA numbers. I could see him going to to have a very respectable David Eckstein-esque career.
  17. The real question should be, when Soriano comes back, where does he bat. If Johnson/Theriot continue to be a productive 1-2 punhc you dont wat to disturb that. Soriano might end up at 6 or 7.
  18. Its kind of a catch 22 for ole' Felix. hes not going to get regular playing time until he proves he can produce, however, hes not going to get an opportunity to produce, especially while the rest of the team is so hot.
  19. I can see what your saying, but as a Brewer fan I can say pretty easlily that Braun will be there when its all said and done. Hardy is starting to pick it up more (3-5 today). Weeks is well we will have to see. Plus we get Cameron back soon, who will become our best defensive player. Gallardo is back and pitched well today. And you forgot about Hart. Harts the guy the need to be focusing on giving a big deal to. Fielder is a Boras guy, and one of Boras' hottest clients at this time, with A-Rod and Beltran both locked in long term deals. I really cant see Boras' letting Fielder sign long term in Milwaukee. I ont see Braun as a long term Brewer either. He needs to go to the AL where he can DH. If the Brewers were smart, they would move him for some top shelf pitching prospects, especially with Sheets likely on his way out of Milwaukee at the end of this season.
