You scared me there. I was expecting Cubs place 3B Aramis Ramirez on the 15 day DL, Recall IF Eric Patterson from AAA Iowa. Yeah, nothing shocking about the real transaction. Im asuming they intend on starting Gallagher, or else they would have brought up Cotts or Ascenio if they needed a reliever.

Actually, it kind of makes sense. Ive always wondered why teams always put there biggest home run hitter, whose often one of their biggest strike out candidates in the cleanup spots. You have to wonder you would want a guy whose more likely to give you a 2 or 3 run double in that position than a guy whose just as likely to strike out of hit into a double play as hit a home run.

Hill should be sent down to Iowa, just long enough to figure out how to throw strikes again. Hopefully it wont be too long. Still, if it comes down to it, Id be satisfied with: Z Lilly Dempster Lieber Gallagher/Marshall Pen Wuertz Howry Fox Cotts Wood Marmol Gallagher/Marshall When Eyres ready, Cotts, Marshall, or Gallagher go down. and yes, Im well aware that I forgot about Marquis. -
If we miss him for one day, its not going to kill us, especially against the St. Louis linuep and a pretty mediocre pitcher. If its bothering him, Lou should sit him, and if hes available to pinch hit if the situation arises, then use him there.

Its a good sign that Aramis was in the dugout after he was removed. If they thought there was something really wrong with him, the medical trainers would have been attending to him in the clubhouse. If is injured though, I guarantee, Lou is going to wait until Lillys gone, put in his most dispoasable reliever and cause a bench clearing brawl.
