  1. So do any of our resident stat masters have Woods record when he walks or hits the leadoff guy?
  2. You can add this guy to that list as well.
  3. Did Marmol at least look as sharp as he sounded on the radio?
  4. Theres obviously something going on in Ramirez' personal life, and until he gets it sorted out and gets his head together, he has no buisness on a baseball field.
  5. Were going to need to step up with Josh Vitters developement.
  6. Considering that our offense feels that scoring runs is over rated...
  7. Come on Teddy, dont let the ineptitude of your offense cost you the game.
  8. Fontenot didnt look like he wanted to be announcing the lineup their.
  9. Time time to remind Kyle Lohse that hes Kyle Lohse and why nobody wanted him in the off season.
  10. While they wont be able to sign CC or Sheets for that matter next year, when the time comes, Fielder will be leaving town as well. Especially as a Boras client, and Boras like sending his top clients to big markets like New York and L.A. With Braun, Laporta, Gamels, Gallardo, and Parra, they could be contenders for years to come. Or else they can trade for a rent a player.
  11. Lets hope the Dodgers can step up their offer here. While Id rather CC stay in the AL, Id much rather him go to the Dodgers. Also, the Dodgers might be inclined to outbid the Brewers if it comes down to it, as they are more likely to be able to offer him an extension. If they're truely serious, they migh need to add Kemp, Ethier, or Loney to the deal. What if we were to try to get in the action with a 3 team deal and get Brad Penny or Derrek Lowe from the Dodgers, just for the sake of blocking the Brewers? Long term we might be better off if the Brewers get Sabathia. why? short term it makes me nervous... i think the brewers are a little bit crazy to do this...and if they do they have to go after another bullpen arm... if they get C.C., they won't be resigning him and they won't resign sheets...so they are obviously in win this year mode This makes it our job to not only end the drought, but also make the Brewers mortgage their future for nothing and make Doug Melvin look like a moron. Still, I think the Dodgers can swing a deal and take CC.

  13. Guys like Hoffpauir and McGahee are nothing more than throw-ins. Pie still has value but it's dropped this year. However, I think a package of something like Vitters, Pie, and Gallagher is quite a package. I know Hoffpauir is 28, but he may have more value than people think. Hes OPSin over 1.000 in AAA, and had some success in his short stint on the big league club. Granted, he wont net us a big name by himself, but I'd be surprised if some scouts arent watching him very closely in the corn fields.
  14. Lets not get too excited here. It was one session against rookie leaguers vs. the disaster that has been Rich Hills 2008. I'd like to believe that Rich Hill back, but he's going to need some starts in Iowa first.
  15. Its not really about will he put them into the playoffs so much as they are trading away top prospects for a guy who might get them into the playoffs, and will no doubt be skipping town this off season. Its a hell of a gamble.
  16. The fact that Lou keeps batting Johnson vs. righties, and considers DeRosa as his altenate suggests that Murton has no future with this team.
  17. Judging by the past 2 games, both teams are due for big ofensive games, more specifically, 1 rooster loving 3rd baseman.
