  1. OK, lets get him in. We dont need another strandapalooza.
  2. His first DL stint as a Sock probably wont be too far behind.
  3. He must have been banned. He was supposed to be up for game thread duty before me, and was removed from the list. I think that once some dude exposed him as a 16 year old, he dissapeeared.
  4. Soriano is one miserable excuse for a ball player and a waste of 136 million dollars. Lets just trade him now. It seems that whenever Soris in a bit of a slump and we start mercilously ripping him, he becomes red hot.
  5. lets crank out 4 or 5 here. Im not in the mood for one of those wait until the 7th or 8th to do anything games.
  6. Can you imagine how many managers would kill to have a hitter like Soto batting 8th in their lineup? Now thats called depth. It's not depth when your 8th hitter should be hitting 6th. It just means you have a hitter lower in the order than he should be. DeRosas just fine at the 6 spot. Fukudome should be 8, but for some reason, Lou isnt willing to accept that yet. Soto wont be getting much to hit this evening, but it will be interesting to see what Kosuke does with Soto behind him.
  7. Can you imagine how many managers would kill to have a hitter like Soto batting 8th in their lineup? Now thats called depth.
  8. Lineups Soriano Theriot Lee Ramirez Edmonds DeRosa Fukudome Soto Lilly vs. Dickerson Keppinger Bruce Phillips Encarnacion Votto J. Cabrera Hanigan Arroyo
  9. apparently someones never heard of breaking and entering.
  10. I hope the Brewer fans have been practicing their boos.
  11. If we win tonight, JJ Hardy can hit all the home runs he wants off Doug Brocail.
  12. No, hes been with the Stros organazation since the Colt .45 days.
  13. So we want him to be a late inning, defensive replacement for Lee? Im thinking vice versa.
  14. I didnt realise that Hoff was that good of a defender. Gives us more incentive to bring him up and keep him up.
  15. So you're telling me there's a chance! I love that we (and the players, it seems) expect to win every night. That's the way it should be. So, Ted, you're due for a good outing. Make it happen. Ted Lilly has looked good in his last couple outings I'm pretty sure, 3 August starts: 2-0 record 6.1 IP, 1 ER, 5 K's, 6 H's, 3 BB's 7.1 IP, 2 ER, 4 K's, 7 H's, 2 BB's 6.0 IP, 4 ER, 8 K's, 8 H's, 2 BB's and ONLY 2 HR's in those 3 starts =D> So if he follows the pattern, he'll go 7.0 IP 8 ER, 7K's, 9H's 3 BB's
  16. Having a game that matters during the afternoon always makes the work day go faster. Hopefully Wandy and the Stros can abuse Manny Parra like Prince Fielder.
  17. Also, I knew that the Yanks and Red Sox were always at the top, but I didnt realise how much they shattered everyone else. And theres no way the Brewers, D-Backs, Rockies, and Blow Jays have more than the Dodgers.
  18. Fixed. Fade to Bolivia must have known that was coming eventually.
  19. I'll take what we can get. If its the Red Sox, Angels, or White Sox, sweet, if its the Rays or Twins, bring em on, and I wont complain.
  20. This is a list of each MLB team and the amount of fans each has on facebook. While its obviously not the amount of fans each team has in existance, its a decent sample size. Not surprised that the Yanks and Red Sox beat out the Cubs, The Indians, Im a bit surprised about that. Team Fans Boston Red Sox 603949 New York Yankees 392157 Cleveland Indians 57603 Chicago Cubs 47383 Colorado Rockies 37250 St. Louis Cardinals 36504 Philadelphia Phillies 32261 New York Mets 26212 Milwaukee Brewers 18085 Chicago White Sox 10745 Atlanta Braves 8008 Detroit Tigers 7654 Toronto Blue Jays 6857 Arizona Diamondbacks 6379 Minnesota Twins 3893 Cincinnati Reds 3879 Los Angeles Dodgers 3500 Baltimore Orioles 2776 Houston Astros 2470 Los Angeles Angels 2391 Kansas City Royals 2291 San Francisco Giants 2172 Tampa Bay Rays 2011 Pittsburgh Pirates 1989 Seattle Mariners 1952 Oakland Athletics 1887 Florida Marlins 1521 Washington Nationals 1056 Texas Rangers 1007 San Diego Padres 937
  21. So when was the last time the Cubs were 30 games over .500?
  22. I think I'll go with Adolph Hitler over a baseball player whose having an off but still productive season, but then again, Im a Jew, so I suppose Im a bit biased. No Osama Bin Laden though? At least in their screwed up minds, the Nazis though they were making the world a better place by populating it with blond haired blue eyed super soldiers. Bin Laden just enjoys blowing people and things up because he can.
  23. While the Red Sox have been putting up runs in bunches at times, theres just something not that frightening about them this year.
