    Lou said Howry already made it, which we all knew ould happen. He's going to be the 7th inning guy. I'd use the Shark in the 7th over Howry. Where the heck is Wuertz? Why isn't he out there pitching? It's been obvious that Lou has no time for Wuertz at all. Wuertz has been garbage pretty much every time out. Still time for Lieber to change his mind? Old Country Buffet must have a restraining order on him by now, so what else does he have to do?

I hate Howry as much as the next guy, but looking at the pen lately, is he really any worse than the rest of these disasters?

    After tonight, we'll only have a 7.5 game lead with 2 games to go. We're doomed.

    And like half of those guys won't even be playing next week. I agree about the offense, but a lot of these relievers are supposed to be playing for playoff roster spots, and theyve looked nothing short of horrid. We really need these guys looking better. Maybe Randy Wells can be the guy. Come on, man. None of this matters. I MIGHT grant you that the playoff opponent thing matters (albeit not as much as people think), but how we "look" tonight means absolutely nothing. Jesus. I agree about the ofense, but the pen needs to be sharper. these guys are scaring me.

    Looks like they may end up catching a huge break. We'll see if they capitilize.

    Who's the other middle IF that's hurt? Apparently Cedeno couldn't start yesterday. Hurt his shoulder sliding into 1st base. Will that dumbass ever learn that it's not a good idea to slide head first into 1st? Theres a lot that he will never learn, which is why no matter where his floor, ceiling, or walls are, he'll never be our starting short stop.

    Hoff will definitely get a start or 2 vs. the Brewers. That last spot comes down to Hoff and Ward, as Pie will likely get a spot as a defensive replacement and pinch runner.

    Nick Swisher called out on strikes on a borderline check swing. Commence Hawk ranting about the umpires for the rest of the game.

    Its just 1 game, but in that 1 game, he seemingly did more than Ward did all season, aside from that 1 HR in Florida. Still, hes a better all around player than Ward, but we'll see what happens.

    So now that Hoff has gotten more hits tonight than Daryle Ward has had since like June, is he inching closer to the playoff roster?

    A lot of sites are mentioning the Tigers trading Ordonez, so I'm sure they're not going to trade Granderson too. If they were to trade a young player as talented as Granderson, they certainly wouldnt do it within their division. Who the hell would be that dumb? Yeah, I know, the Pittsburg Pirates say hi.

    I think that was rortworld way of saying that Ichiro is the only player on that team worthy of being in the major leagues.

    According to rotoworld, hes signed through 2013 with a club option for 2014, so it will be a bit of a wait, but it gives us something to think about for the next 5-6 years, if Pie, Colvin, and whatever other prospects/draft picks we happen to get dont pan out.

    Im not gonna lie, it is fun to sit back and watch these games without consequence. I mean when was the last time we got to watch over a weeks worth of games without nail biting?

    Ive been thinking about this for a bit, but did the beginning of Bad Z come after that 130some pitch game, and then Lou pulled him early the next start just to "shorten him up"? It seems like that was about the time of his decline.
