What are you doing here? Yeah, isn't your ace due to pitch another 14 innings before he signs somewhere else? CCs pitched his last Brewers innings. However, they will have hime throw batting practice just to sabatoge him further. I guess it must be nice to consider your season a success just because your team gets to add 3 games to the season.

oh man i bet the giants and pirates would jump all over that. Well there gos my Sean Marshall and Ronny Cedeno for Evan Longoria and Kevin Hart and Micah Hoffpauir for Jake Peavy proposals. 2nd ones good. first is stoopid. we already have a 3b. Longorias young. He can learn RF. Maybe we can throw in Carmen Pignietello to sweeten the deal.

I'd be happy if the cast-offs were limited to DeRo, Dempster, Theriot, and D-Lee. They had the tightest sphincters this series, so they simply have to go. Give Fuku another year. Embrace Soriano's eccentricity and encourage players to emulate him. Sign four guys that, in a psychological sense, most fit the Manny/Johnny Damon/Idiot psychological profile to replace DeRo, Demp, Ther, and D. Just not Manny himself. Too distracting. Bring in Bellhorn as a bench guy (or coach?). DeRo, really? You do realize he's driven in our only runs of this series, right? Keep him as a super utility guy if you must. This was a career year. I would expect something Gary Gaetti-like from him next year. And that DP boot must have made Alex Gonzalez blush. DeRosa shouldn't even have been on the field, because it's clear his calf isn't 100%. Should any of these guys really be on the field?

Not even close You're delusional. No offense to you personally. But he's not wrong. There are WORSE run franchises in pro sports....like the Oakland Raiders, Detroit Lions, New York Rangers, New York Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, etc, etc. So the Cubs are clearly not as bad ( tho there not overly great, either) as you claim it to be, Jeff. the bad thing is, center field is really the only position Hendry will try to upgrade. you know they're going to giving the stupid asian another chance since they signed him to a ridiculous contract. Honestly, at the time, everyone loved it. Don't forget that. Evan Longoria will be a free agent sometime betwen 2014-2016. Weve waited this long. 6 year 17.5 million contract indeed. I hope he has the good sense to fire his agent.

Why, can he pitch? Huh??? Bringing up Micah implies that his bat could possibly "save" this team. While the extra offense could help, the biggest problem is the Cubs' pitching giving up an assload of runs. Micah can't do anything about that. You mean the runs that wouldnt have scored had the infield been slightly competant? Did you miss the 2nd inning?
