I agree about Teahen, but Huff, Atkins, and Wiggignton are all guys who have no future with their teams, that are more than likely going nowhere this year, so even if they could get a few respectable pitching prospects, theyd probably be willing to move these guys. Exactly what pitching prospects are the Cubs giving up to get any of the 3 not named Teahen? When a team is down and out for a 3b like the Cubs are right now, what do you honestly believe the asking price would be? As much as Atkins isn't needed on the Rockies, if I'm Colorado, I just watched Atkins' trade value sky rocket over the last 24 hours. They already pillaged the Cubs for Marquis. "Hey Hendry, I'll give you this garbage reliever that you really do not want for this starting pitcher that is guaranteed to gobble up 200 innings next year. But, you need to pay for most of the starting pitcher's salary." "Duh, okay!" Colorado sure learned their lesson on that one, eh? If I'm them, I'm holding out for Vitters for Atkins. Oh, and the Cubs will need to pick up the remainder of Atkins' contract. The Rox have been actively pushing Atkins to make room for Stewart. We could probably get him for somethiglike Heilman, Hart, and a low level prospect. Same for the 2 O's. If we gave up Heilman, just who would you replace him with? There really is noone else in our system to put in the bullpen outside of Ascanio, and seeing how Fox was called up before he was, Im thinking they want Ascanio to continue starting. Im sure we could find some replacement for his 5.14 ERA and 1.43 whip. Id start with Stevens.
