  1. Absolutely. We knew it was questionable if Fontenot could thrive as an everydaystarter, but Hendry still couldnt ship DeRosa out of town fast enough. Now, that move has come back to haunt us in a major way, and Hendry refuses to admit his error. It almost makes me wonder if when Hendry sayd he wants to wait and see what our needs are, he means wait and see if hes buying or selling.
  2. Tyler Colvin seems to be working his way back up there.
  3. It is. An impact bat has to be added to this lineup somehow. I'm not sure who or where, or if it's even possible, but short of that happening and Aramis providing something when he comes back, this team is toast. This team doesn't have worst-in-baseball type talent, but they've gotten worst-in-baseball results RISP. There's got to be an easier way to fix that than bringing in an expensive player. I agree, but I'm stumped. The gulf between being able to get guys on and then do next to nothing with them has just gotten absurd. Its almost as though the whole team has that "anxiety disorder" that seems to be the trendy injury of choice. Its more mental than physical.
  4. I totally agree. Even the term "Cobs" isnt funny anymore. When were a good team thats on a cold streak and making some bad plays or failing to cash in our chips, its sometimes fun to joke about it, but when were dealing with what ultimately looks like a bad team on our hands, its just not funny and its more maddening. Lou needs to go, and Im not saying that in a joking way. Id rather see Ryan Freel than Mike Fontenot, and Im not saying that in a joking way.
  5. It just makes them bad.
  6. This is the least enjoyable Cubs team Ive seen in a long time, and yes, 2006 is included. At least they knew they were going to lose and didnt bother with this fake rally crap.
  7. When you have 2 bad teams going at it, someone has to win. We just happened to be the less bad.
  8. But there's no such thing as clutch! Not for Cobs hitters there isnt.
  9. Why do these god damned failures even bother clogging the bases? They know the next guys just going to fail anyway. Seriously, Piniella needs to go. He doesnt care and he has no answers. He doesnt want to be there any more than we want him there. Give me Tramell, Sandberg, anyone but Lou.
  10. Do they even bother with a fake rally? Really, whats the point?
  11. Once Marmol came on, they just assumed. Can you blame them?
  12. Marshall probably could have done that if he wanted too. God our managers dumb.
  13. Id have better luck getting my dog to understand why eating his own feces is a bad idea than preach common sense to Lou.
  14. Please, that entire bullpen is 1 big dog house.
  15. It must feel great for Marshall to go from being a solid starter to a run of the mill loogy to be taken down for guys like Kevin Hart.
  16. This team is just not very good. Right now, there are 2 other teams that are allowing the Cubs to stay in contention, but they're not good enough to do anything of substance.
  17. Im glad that inning happened. If the Cobs were paying attention, they might have learned what to do when you load the bags.
  18. The number of Cubs players that I dont despise drops on a nightly basis.
  19. Where that brutal defense of Foxes weve heard so much about?
  20. Im excited. Time to see what real teams do with the bases loaded and <2 out.
  21. What a pathetic, steaming, hapless bunch of trash that Jim and Lou have given us this year. Please fire someone. I dont care who.
