It seems that Japan seems to love 1 dimensional american sluggers, Matt Murton, Larry Bigbie, Micah Hoffpauir, Randall Simon, and Tuffy Rhodes to name a few. In turn, we seem to have an intrigue in their young players. Would they ever consider trading players with Japan? AAA teams across the league are filled with these guys, and maybe they could start seeing if theyd be willing to make trades with Japan. Obviously, the players on both sides would need to consent to it, but it would be a great opportunity for a career minor leaguer. Obviously, we arent going to get guys like Ichiro, Fukudome, Daisuke or Darvish for the likes of Brad Snyder or Brian LaHair, but Japanese teams could be interested enough in these guys to send over some young players who want the chance to play in the US.
