  1. I'm pretty sure everyone gets that, with the possible exception of the busses full of 6-10 year olds on day-camp field trips at the games.
  2. + @jaysonst: Latest Garza tidbit: "Very high chance" he gets traded, says one exec. Jays have been bearing down on him. = :-k Obviously, I'd want more than just Snider, but he'd be a nice 2nd or 3rd piece.
  3. One of these things is not like the others. he copied it from a bleacher report article They forgot one
  4. Could it be that Brett Jackson is being used as a chip to try to bring a better return for Dempster or Garza? Brooks Raley should be the only option. OMG shut up about brooks raley. Why? When your clearly having a fire sale-and a damn good one I might add, the open roster spots should be given to guys who might be of use in the future. Raley may be no better than Randy Wells-and I mean 2012 Randy Wells, but unlike the other options, he's yet to prove that he's crap.
  5. Could it be that Brett Jackson is being used as a chip to try to bring a better return for Dempster or Garza? Wouldn't mind it at all if we could get a good pitcher back in return. I've lost almost all hope in Jackson. Then what does our outfield look like next year, and please don't say the same as it does now. The Cubs have the whole offseason to figure that out. I don't think Jackson is going to make or break the outfield at this point. True. The question is how many spots will need to be filled? I'd like BJ Upton for CF.

  8. Rumor has it that they called on Castro but Theo sold them on this instead.
  9. I have to say that this is better than Dempster for Delgado. While Delgado may be the safer bet, from what I understand, Vizcaino has the higher upside. And the fact that Maholm and Johnson were non entities to us 10 months ago, and Dempster is still likely to bring back somethin of value. Its like having our cake and eating it too. On the downside, the Cubs havnt gotten much out of Vizcainos in the past.
  10. Well that's very interesting. He was supposed to be alongside Delgado, Minor, and Teheran in the Braves' pitching crop as the headliners. This could turn out to be a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good deal for the Cubs. You mean for a pitcher that was pulled off the Pirates scrap heap and a 4th OF that was scraped off of Jim Hendry's shoe? I'll say so.
  11. which of them do you like better? who else should we want? Graham. He'd possibly be top 10 in our system. Spruill probably top 15ish. Graham's had the better season. Cody Martin is an interesting guy too for them, although he's really old for his level. But he's been listed as a breakout type. Bowman says that Spruill's not part of the trade.
  12. If it did, WSR would be [expletive] insufferable. I'm not much for told-ya-sos. But thanks for changing that avatar to one that doesn't induce seizures.
  13. Any chance that Maholm, Dempster, and Garza are traded? Good God, our rotation would Shark/Wood/Germano/Raley/Volstad.
  14. He'a at the point where he might not be big league ready, but an extra 2 months in Iowa won't magically stop him from striking out every other at bat. In fact a few hours ago, someone on Twitter (it wasnt just some random, but it wasnt one of the big timers either) noted that while he Ks a ton, he works a full count more than anyone else in the minors. He just needs to be better a judging that payoff pitch.
  15. One of Goldstein's hobbies seems to be pissing on fan's cornflakes. They do as him some dumb questions though.
  16. My first thought, too. "Can we still have Delgado?" We'd have to throw in something else, but it's possible.
  17. Soriano now out of the game, but has yet to get hugs.
  18. soto for olt confirmed Perhaps if you put Garza & before Soto.
