  1. In all seriousness, this was probably the Cubs worse game of the year. You have your shut outs, you have your blow outs, but here you have scoring opportunities in 4 straight innings, and fail to get anything out of it. If it werent such a dismal division, the Cubs wouldnt even come close to deserving 2nd place.
  2. This would probably be a good time for every Cubs player to kill themselves.
  3. More like you should automattically lose.
  4. Enough is enough, this is beyond pathetic. To hell with the lot of em.
  5. 2 on, 1 out. Just dont hit into the damn double play. Am I asking for too much here?
  6. If Murton grounds into a DP, guaranteed, he sees no more playing time this season.
  7. Theriot really needs that rest. Maybe not getting the leadoff man on is a good sign after the past few.
  8. OK, one more inning. Dempster shocked me with that quickie. The problem is, the only semi trustworthy reliever left is Eyre, and if the Cubs score, they'll have him close, and if not, and the game goes on, we'll be left with Wuertz, Ohman, and Wood. Maybe Lou will go with Hart.
  9. Thats umm a lil harsh dont you think? I agree with Keener. Id be perfectly happy with paralysis.
  10. To hell with this garbage. Despite putting on 4 runs, this has been the worst offensive performance by the Cubs in a long time. It doesnt matter worth a damn how many base runners you pile up if they dont cross the plate. Im going to bed and Im sure Ill wake up and read about Hunter Pences walk off homer.
  11. again the Cubs get the leadoff man on. Im not expecting much this time.
  12. The Cubs have played some great ball today. Its just the 3 big men that need to get the job done, and that has been the difference tonight. Leadoff man on again. Lets make it happen.
  13. this is the second time this season the bargain basement Daryl Ward has been walked to get to the 18 million dollar Soriano. Result: Another opportunity squandered. Hopefully Howry can get a quick 1-2-3 and the big bats can wake up.
  14. DeRosa with his first homer since I dont know when. Good thing Lou didnt sit him.
  15. Cubs squander an early opportunity, but thats OK.
  16. it was low Not low enought to stand there with the bat on his shouder.
  17. ATTN D-Lee: If your going to get caught looking at a perfectly good pitch, that your decision, but dont give the ump an attitude because you screwed up.
  18. Hes just been figured out. He likes to hit the ball to the right for the most part, and thats how their defending him. He could use a day off or 2, or at least a trip down the lineup to 6th or 7th for a few games. Especially in Houston where Cubs offense is tough to come by. I'd like to see DeRosa get more spots at #2. Jones was doing pretty good for himself their.
  19. Looks like DeRosas in the linuep tonight.
  20. I could have sworn it was made crystal clear when Floyd was signed that he was going to be nothing more than some pop off the bench and a spot starter. I guess one thing led to another, Murton wound up in Lous dog house, and thats not an easy spot to get out of.
  21. The great Brian Bullingon escapes a mini jam with a pair of ground outs, the first of which resultd in a twin killing.
  22. Hes just been figured out. He likes to hit the ball to the right for the most part, and thats how their defending him. He could use a day off or 2, or at least a trip down the lineup to 6th or 7th for a few games. Especially in Houston where Cubs offense is tough to come by.
  23. Yea cause Gallardo hasnt been hit hard ever this year....oh wait yes he has. He kind of reminds me of Zambrano early this season where he was lights out every other start, and then got smoked every other start.
  24. Brewers have Gallardo vs. some rook with an 0-1 with an era of 15. Meanwhile the Cubs spend the next few days in our on personal terror dome. This may be a frusterating couple of days.
