    Paying him market value for his production doesn't make it alright for them to crap all over him and his Cub career just because he left the last game of a frustrating season a few innings early. The idea of it being revenge is stupid, though.     how long till we know if barrett is going to start in san diego? the only reason i ask is because he is on my fantasy team and i may need to get some trade in the works to acquire another catcher now if he is going to be the backup

    giving away marshall leaves us with what? not a good looking picture...who is going to be the 5th starter...marmol? cotts? bleh if marshall is to be traded...it should be a deal to aquire some good young talent...not an old bat that will come to a team with about a 12.5% chance of making the playoffs this year... that is a waste IMO

    of course not...but...earlier in the season i still thought that their pitching would start to fall apart... the cubs keep playing this really stupid game of win when they win and lose when they lose... it just seems to me that, as things stand right now, the brewers are much more likely to go on a run... i don't know...last week i was starting to get excited about our chances again, but now...my spirits are starting to fade...

    i have been waiting for them to fall apart...but...it just isn't happening... as it looks right now, they are very much poised to run away with the division... unless the cubs can go on a 10 game or more streak...i am starting to think that it won't happen...
