  1. well...we know where you are going to be on sunday morning
  2. I'm reposting this until someone acknowledges my amazing skills. i'll acknowledge...since i did more or less the same thing! props baby...props!
  3. in other words, turn game off now Hey.... we're due, no ?? :bluekoolaid: statistically we are due...whether that works in cubbie world or not...well...we will find out shortly anytime you think the cubs are statistically due for something, just think about 1908, and you'll realize that "statistically due" means nothing for this franchise. Thanks. I was thinking something along those lines, but wouldn't have put it as well. while i realize the significance of this informational analysis...winning a world series is a bit different than coming back from a two run deficit...the stats on those two things work a bit differently what a win baby!!! what a win!!!! 1-18

  6. i cannot believe off the charts excited i was for this game and then this happens WTF?
  7. I think what you mean to say is they have finally pulled them out of a certain body part... i can go along with that...but i also think this team was a really wacky melting pot going into this season...and with lou as the head chef (everyone knows he doesn't measure his ingredients) it just took him a while to find the right recipes...and for the foods to get to know one another...
  8. His lack of homers are starting to get frustrating. Extremely frustrating very quickly. I am not worried. Lee is still hitting a lot of line drives has 26 double and a .900+ OPS. If the doubles were down too, I would be more concerned, but he is stroking it, I think the homers will come. exactly...i think that after the break...he will start grooving the long ball...if he doesn't finish with more at least 5 more homers in the second half than he had in the first half...i will eat my hat
  9. i am equally frightened and absolutely ecstatic for this series!!! bring on the yankees...err...i mean brewers!!! it is game time...it may have taken a while but the cubs are finally waking up and rearing their ugly heads!!!
  10. just out of curiosity...why does it bother you so?
  11. i am going to enjoy watching fielder wabble in the upcoming years fat bastard!
  12. sizemore wright utley morneau verlander
  13. Happens all the time, you can't see everybody. Come on, you've never been left hanging? Pat them on the back and act like thats what you meant to do from the start... i wasn't upset...i was just curious if it was an emotionally exaggerated post...
  14. what is this nonsense about dero not giving z a high 5...i was scrolling through this thread after the homer...so i didn't see anything after the ball landed in the stands
  15. I was under the impression that Williams is inclined to keep Konerko. Dye needs to go for sure. I guess I am just not sure how much he'll get out of the others, and thought Buehrle was his best negotiating piece. If Dye proves that he is healthy enough to handle RF, I would not mind Hendry going out and trading for him. He and Floyd would make a very solid platoon in RF. no, because i got rid of all of my cub bats on my fantasy team...and the team has done nothing but go up since...cubs bats are a big no no in fantasy it seems
  16. i, just like most of you, really don't see how it is possible that zell was involved in this decision...because it doesn't make sense, and shouldn't make sense to anyone else... but why in the hell was it reported in the first place? where is our batman? bruce miles...come to us in our time of need!
  17. Mike North just reported on the score at 9:10 AM that Sam Zell vetoed the deal in the zero hour that would have had the Chicago Cubs paying roughly 6 million dollars of Jones 7.2 million dollar deal. this was taken from the insidetheivy forums think of it what you will
  18. Uh, I think we pretty much know what happened. Hendry basically laid it out for us. mmm...there does seem to be a fair amount of widely differing conjecture flying around in the press and what have you...that is why i asked the question...usually if there are different tales to a story and there has been no clear explaination...you tend to question the originating motive
  19. is this one of those things where we are never going to know the true tale?
  20. i actually feel really pretty bad for jones right now...poor dude...he is getting yanked around like a yo-yo
