    Dusty isn't the reason why this team is trailing. Zambrano lacking control is. Also, being behind by a few runs isn't a beating. That wasnt the point Im just talking in general about the Cubs offense not taking walks. I realize Zambrano's performance is the big reason why we are getting reamed tonight so far.

    man! this sucks, we are getting the crap beat out of us by minor leaguers. Why cant Dusty see that Walks=runs? what is so difficult about seeing the value of a walk, he sees it almost every day with the team playing against us.

    Howie Kendrick was just called up for the Angels, I wonder if he will get many starts since Kenedy is playing pretty well. He has great potential I just dont see where they will play him. Thoughts?

    Yeah, Eyre came up behind him early in the interview and plastered him with a shaving cream pie. Later in the interview they were talking about who gave him the pie and Dempster was like yeah I think it was that left hander we got in the offseason, and the announcer was like "isnt that your setup man?" and he says, "yeah he's setting himself up for some real payback, doesn't he know I put a guys car up on blocks last year?" lol

    If Tony was so worried about the integrity of the game he wouldn't have let Kline and Tavares put pinetar on the bill of their caps. Talk about ridiulous. Nor would he have flat out lied about McGwire and performance echancing drugs... Dusty...Bonds...BALCO... I agree with the post above. This is really isn't a big deal. Neither "side" is "innocent" and this is the kind of crap that takes place on the field. Each team trying to get the edge. They both want to win. You wont find to many people on these boards defending Baker, most of us hate the guy and would love to see him run out of town as quickly as possible. Thats the difference between StLouis fans and Chicago fans, at least we can identify stupidity. LOL - know many cards fans? TLR is not that beloved either. Oh? lol I dont know any Cards fans, it just seemed like alot of people were rushing to defend his checking the ball. By the way in the 20 years Ive been watching baseball Ive only seen a manager (or anyone else for that matter) ask to check the ball a handful of times. It might be commonplace in Cardinal land but its rare most everywhere else.

    Baseball, as defined by the person who created it is, "9 men fielding, 9 men batting." not 9 men fielding all but one of them batting, using a substitute for the pitcher. The American league does not even play baseball in its true form. There is a special place in the 9th level of hell for the person who created the DH.     There have been breakthroughs in alternate fuels, but thier creators are assasinated and burried before they can get the new fuel out, I was convinced after I saw the Keanu Reeves movie.

    Why do the A's have an elephant for a mascot? I know they have had an elephant in the team insigna, but why? What does an elephant have to do with Athletics?
