    *sigh* The Tigers skiped Verlander's start in the rotation this week and I lose to 24 by 1 point. I should be tied for second but instead Im tied for 4th, thank you Jim Leland! Grrrrr I wish I could get a little more notice of when someone is getting benched for a game, this time of year Im getting killed by sporatic restings of guys. Is there a way to get points standings per catagory like who leads in strikeout points or who leads in HR points ect? That would be a kool thing to get a look at, might give me a better idea of my strength and weaknesses.

    Yes it is playing by the rules and thats why the rules need to be changed. It doesnt matter how much time or effort you put into it, there is only so much good pitching to be had and when 1 or 2 guys horde it all your SOL.

    Something isnt right about having 11 SP and 2 SP on the DL. Id rather see a more realistic pitching setup, Ive never seen a league that allowed that many pitchers to make all thier starts in a 1 week period. Its not right and it screws up the balance in the league. It creates situations where people just horde all the pitching. THere is a better competitive balance when the pitching is spread more evenly throughout the league. Just my thoughts.

    Was just thinking how much turnover this team really has. In this lineup: -1 player from 2002 -2 players from 2003 -3 players from 2004 -5 players from 2005 Why did Izturis have his stats reset? He was already in the NL. Because they dont want the Cubs fans that dont know how bad he is to realize how bad he is?

    I think the strategy here is to make this team so bad that they get the top pick in the draft for 4 or 5 years, that way they can rebuild the minors, then by 2015 or so we might be able to compete again. Oh well I havent watched this team much this season anyway, Ive been watching the Tigers and the D-rays. At least the D-rays have some decent talent on thier team. Im looking forward to seeing what the Tigers can do. Been depressed with this Cubs team for quite some time. I think the announcement on a Dusty extention cant be far off. I hope that the Trib will fire MacPhail and Hendry and Baker but I doubt it cause fans will continue to pack Wrigley to watch this garbage team.

    Id definantly want to see Kendrick or Wood come back in any deal from the Angels for Aram maybe both.

    Well get ready for it cause its coming. I lost faith in Hendry a while back. I dont know if things will ever improve while he and MacPhail are around.

    Should walks & singles be valued equally, then? Even though a single advances other baserunners and a walk may not? Hmm I guess I can see your point, but I dont have a problem with walks being worth as much as a single either. It would be fine with me if a walk, a single and a SB are worth 1 point.

    I just think they should be worth as much as a single, that seems to make the most sense to me. Thats my opinion.

    I love it! Rich Hill continues to make Cubs management look like the fools they are. How can anyone in thier right minds keep a guy like that at AAA? I guess the kind of people that sighn Rusch and Perez to big contracts. Being a Cubs fan really sucks these days, our team is run by complete morons, Im convinced of it now.

    Actually this statement is kinda wierd since if you hit a single and steal a base you would no longer be on first you'd be on second, so you wouldnt be scoring from first youd be scoring from second. you're reading it wrong. a double can score a runner from first whereas a single and stolen base generally won't. ] I guess I can see what your saying, but speed plays a part in this to. A faster player can stretch a single into a double and its no more likely to drive in the run than if a slower player hit the ball in the same place and only had a single.

    Wow thats a pretty bold statement. Why are they any more or less likely to score than someone that hits a double? Not many runners score from a single and a stolen base? Maybe because not many can steal a base, making it more valueble. Alot more players can hit a double than can steal bases. Stealing bases takes more skill and talent I think (just personal opinion). Id like to see some statisticle proof of your statement but then again it would probably be skewed since there are few players that can steal bases and so many that can hit a double.

    I think steals should actually be 1.5 since they are more rare than doubles, and the scarcity of them should be treated as such. Triples, OTOH, should not be altered. I wouldn't argue against that either (being worth 1.5). SB being worth .25 point is not good, and just doesnt make much sense.

    Now this is a topic that I have an opinion about. I think speed is extremely under valued in this league, much more so than in other leagues. Its a bit dissapointing to me. Just my opinion I think SB should be worth as much as a hit. A single and a SB is just as good as a double, if a double is worth 2 points a single and a SB should be scored the same. I think thats pretty sound logic.

    Tim, if you could explain this in a little more detail. Im not real familar with how defensive skills are scored for catchers. I only use one and I have him more for his offensive skills than his defensive skills. Maybe others could post thier ideas to why I should vote one way or the other.

    You know they are going to screen the heck out of the callers and only allow 65 year old women to ask questions that make Jim look good. Completely pointless waste of time to listen to.

    How do I send an email or pm to other teams about trades ect? The names are all different than they are on these boards so that makes it very difficult to use the system here also Im not entirely sure that everyone comes here. There are a few people who Id like to contact. How do I go about finding email or IM info for each team?

    HR are overrated and SB underrated in this league. Carl Crawford doesnt make that list. Id rather have him than Ortiz who is a 1 dementional player if Im building a real team. That list shows how HR slanted the league is. Some guys that go 4 for 4 will score less than a guy who goes 1for 4 with a solo HR. Whos the better hitter of the 2? My opinion the guy that went 4 for 4. Ichiro not on that list? Thats laughable, just my opinion.

    Good for him, I hope he gets traded as well so he can go to a team that is run by people with brains. I hope they get Murton out of here to so he can go on to dominate for someone else and be the player he should be. To bad we are a team run by complete morons and people who shouldnt be bat boys let alone managers and GMs. Im sick to h*** of it all, sick sick sick.
