    This is why I hate drafting highschool kids, it just my opinion but I think there is much more risk involved. Luis Montenez anyone? Highschool pitchers, not such a bad idea usually, highschool possition players = high risk. At least that seems to be the case much of the time. When was the last time the Cubs drafted a possition player out of high school in the first round that went on to have a productive major league career. Alot of people disagree with me, but I feel a great swell of dissapointment every time the Cubs draft a highschool possition player high in the draft.

    Nice curve on the 0-2 pitch, dunno what he threw for strike 3 bad camera angle, all I could see was Blanco's big butt

    It would be nice to have someone that can hit backing up Barrett, I mean Blanco is a good defensive catcher but his bat is a liability. I was impressed with Fox the one game I have seen him this year, but he was DHing so I didnt get to see him behind the plate.

    Sportsline apparently still has him listed as being on the DL for some reason. Grrrr what the heck!

    I have Chipper Jones in my Utility spot tonight but his stats are not posting, I get the blue box around him when he is at the plate but then it doesnt post what he does. So far he is 2/3 with a HR a run and 2 RBI and I havent gotten credit for any of that.

    By booing! I think alot of people boo JJ because they are disgruntled about him being signed in the first place, as much as they are booing his lack of production on the field. Its not like people have the chance to boo Jim Hendry. Not that I despise Jim, but I do dislike the JJ signing.

    Why is he unable to do that in the majors? who says he can't? he had more good innings than bad when he was up last year. Consistancy is the issue I guess.

    Actually Prior was suppose to throw a 40 pitch side sesion today, Wood threw yesterday. No word on how the Prior sesion went today, yet anyway

    He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! It's not about the strikeout. He's pitched poorly overall. I don't buy that this was a "quality start." He made some poor decisions on the mound and allowed himself to be beaten by their few good hitters (namely Cabrera). Well then maybe you should go and redefine QS. Because he's had one. I didn't say he didn't make mistakes, but he's got a few. Our offense needs to stop swinging at 1st pitches. No, you said he struck out 9 as if that was a sign of quality. My point was that he made key mistakes that led to runs scored. he's struck out 10 and given up 3 ER. Quality start whether you buy it or not. Agreed

    He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! And isn't 6 innings, 3 ER considered a "quality start?" Or is it 7 innings? Despite what many people seem to be thinking, this hasn't been a horrible game by Zambrano, simply mediocre. It doesnt matter if you shut out the other team for 9 innings but dont score any runs yourself you havent accomplished much.
