    One of my friends raves about how he is going to be a star at this level...I tell him he's gotta be able to win a game before he can do that! Without that needed outpitch pinghitter was talking about, he won't be able to compete at this level.

    Neifi was a demigod with a bat for almost a solid month. Yuck. Really? I don't remember that. I still stand by my opinion, however that Neifi was a decent 25th man. The problem was that he was used more that a 25th man should be used. When Neifi first showed up with the Cubs, for 23 games at the end of the 2004 season, he hit .371/.400/.548. And then he picked up where he left off and hit .368/.403/.559 in 68 at-bats in April of 05. Once May came though, it was over (although he did have a very good August of 05 as well). Actually, the Neifster had 3 very good stretches with us in 2005........ My favorite Neifi moment is when he hit that grand slam in the 8th inning of a 2005 game at Busch Stadium to beat the cardinals. That was awesome. He was my least favorite player the rest of the time.

    I will definitely be cheering for him, but I will be cheering much louder if the Cubs have a big lead when he does it.

    it sometimes depends on what you're comfortable with, but the right foot makes for a quicker turn and fundamentally sound baserunners will almost always round the base with their right foot.

    Im guessing he is done. This 2nd inning is one of the longest Ive ever seen. 8 runs in the 2nd inning wow Flores didn't exactly clean up his mess, either. cards unfortunately managed to claw back to 9-6.

    I was thinking the same thing. The whole situation is bulls*** but one of the players on the field should have at least said something about the forearm, if not Lou. I just don't understand umpires....its not hard to call the game fairly.
