I hadn't seen that. Hopefully this is the case but I also recall hearing there was no way the Cubs could add someone like Griffey so I suppose we'll habe to wait and see.

The BS detector is off the chart right now. I don't know if its bs or not, but deals where money changes hands generally take awhile for the Commish to sign off on. we might have received word soon after the paperwork was sent in, but Bud is busy trying to unload a '83 Monte Carlo. Murphy is making it seem like the move hasn't been made. He's talking about who should be traded, released, or sent down to add the pitcher tonight, and he said Jones is the obvious answer. He seems kind of dumb though, so maybe he just wasnt' paying attention to Offman. Yeah, that's why I was wondering if I misheard. Don't know how reliable this guy is (Murphy?) but he was talking like Theriot was still on the team. What a mess this is. I hope Lou claims another surprise for tonight. What? No offense, but are you drunk? did you just ask yourself if you are drunk? He posted his comment above my quoted post for some reason, claiming I claimed there'd be a surprise...?

STOP IT EVERYONE--I have been listening all afternoon and all they have said is that Jones told Rogers that he has not been traded and there is a reliever coming up and Theriot WILL NOT BE SENT TO THE MINORS. Man, you guys are quick to crucify Hendry. I know you are a good poster and a good guy but in theis case--California Raison--you are the liar! (which I am sure was just a misunderstanding of what was said!) What the? I'm starting to get scared now.
