  1. So this seems to be a pretty big letdown.
  2.
  3. I'm tempted to agree with my hockey nut friend and say Upshall should get a look at replacing Knuble on first line due to his speed and Knuble's lack thereof. That may be due to the fact I love Upshall... I like Upshall a lot too (what a sick return for forsberg... upshall, a future 2nd pairing stay-at-home defenseman in parent, and a first round pick), but Knuble is a good fit on the first line. He's probably a better natural scorer than Upshall, and while Briere and Gagne are more finesse players who will be on the perimeter, Knuble will be down low, setting screens and gobbling up rebounds. Upshall should do well on the 2nd line. Carter is coming into his own, and Hartnell should be a good player too - though he hasn't done much so far. I think my favorite player on the team is Mike Richards. He's leading the forwards in ice time, because he plays the point on the first power play unit and is also a top penalty killer. Good skater, plays smart, will drop the gloves with anybody to stick up for a teammate - even though it usually results in him getting beat up, because he's not a big guy. They've already made him an assistant captain, and he'll be the team captain at some point in the future. Provided the Flyers have room under the cap, I can see him being a less talented version of Bobby Clarke - a heart and soul guy who plays his whole career with the team. I also like Kukkonen a lot. He doesn't seem to do any one thing really well (except maybe block shots) but he's so solid defensively and hardly ever out of position. When the Flyers were clueless on D last year, he was the type of guy they were missing. I guess Jason Williams has been pretty good for the Blackhawks, but I'm surprised they let Kukkonen get away. That Forsberg trade was freaking ridiculous, I'm still not sure how that happened. I have no real problems with Knuble, just blatant homerism for Upshall.

  5. Screw the Cubs and Bears, I can go back to being a Hawks fan first and foremost Gross... Oh and 5-1!!!!!!! Wheeeeee
  6. The TUPAC forum. (Sorry, had to be done.) Flawless victory
  7. Being in a exclusive forum with Roast =/ cool
  8. If only there were a forum for... insiders...
  9. "The forum you selected does not exist." Or does it...
  10. I've had myself banned for finals before. Just to be safe...
  11. LOL Seriously though, condolences to all Reds fans out there. Thats harsh.
  12. You bet your ass they are. GO FLYERS!!!!
  13. Per some dumb ESPN.com article by Jim Caple: I was not aware he had actually pulled it off before. Just food for thought.
  14. Yesterday I was a nervous wreck because I knew they were going to lose and I'd have to fly to Chicago with this dumb team down 0-2. That being reality, I'm oddly enough very optimistic. We have nothing else to lose so what else is there to be? Hopefully Wrigley can rejuvenate this dumb team and some combination of Sori, Lee and Aramis can get their bats going. I think Rich actually gives us a solid game. Let me see Carlos in Wrigley, Cubs. ALSO: I would want them to win it AZ over Chicago at this point anyway, I freaking hate those horrible fans and that even worse stadium (worst stadium music of perhaps all time). I can only hope we have a chance to fly back there and tell them all to piss off.
  15. I think I may have to break out that SOCO and Gin tonight if the Cubs keep this up...
  16. I'm a freaking wreck right now. Nerves have been shot all day, I feel like crap. Almost regretting planning that trip, who in their right mind would let that much money depend on this team. Oh yea... me. That said, Go Cubs.
  17. This is a must win. Cubs, it would really, really suck for me to fly to Chicago at 12 at night with you guys down 0-2. Please win this so I can still be pumped when I walk onto my plane. Ted, if you win this, I will buy a Lilly jersey shirt when I'm in Chicago. Srsly. Go Cubs.
  18. I'm begging you Cubs, please don't make me travel to Chicago with you guys down 0-2. Please.
  19. I'd cheer as hard as I could but its not gonna happen.
  20. Something to keep an eye on. Per Rotoworld:
