He's got a ways to catch Cedeno's .957. doesn't matter... you don't bench a guy OPS'ing .893. But you bench the guy who's OPS'ing .957? Considering the first guy has way more ABs, yes.

Definately. Coors is definately a place the Cubs should let Pie have 2 starts (2 game series I believe) and continue to build his confidence as a hitter. But seeing as Morales--a lefty---is starting one of the games, I doubt we'll see Pie until late in the game. But 2nd game against Cook, Pie needs to be in THAT game. Didn't notice that he was a lefty. I agree with you totally there. I don't mind sitting him against lefties right now during the learning process. No excuse to not have him in CF come the start of Thursday's game, that match-up sounds like a great potential confidence builder.

I agree. I am trying to figure whether they have ever started this well (i.e., not just winning, but pounding teams) in my lifetime. Don't know how old you are. I glanced through all the "good start" Cubs teams I could remember and didn't find any 14-6. 2003 and 1985 made it to 13-7, though. 1969 started 14-6. Cool yet sad at the same time. Thanks for looking that up though, I've been wondering that for a while.

Tall, Dark, and Handsome. Well duh. But I take it he doesn't look as lost? He got robbed on a third hit on a swinging bunt and a bad call at first. He made consistent contact, lots of fouls and few swings and misses that I recall. He didn't crush anything. Very pleased to hear that. Sounds like hes making solid progress. Now lets let him play around in Coors...
