Certainly possible. But we're down to 20 minutes. And if Selig has to approve of a deal, then its looking increasingly unlikely. The Cubs could just DFA Jones and it buys them 10 days if there was anything holding up a transaction before the game. That would give the Marlins (or any other team wanting him) so much leverage though. Exactly. At that point the marlins could just say "Well, if you dont give us what we ask for, we'll just let you have to release him. Then you have to pay his whole salary. Sucks to be you" Yep, they could pick him up, give up nothing, and pay him the league minimum.

Any idea what West's injury is? He hasn't pitched all season long. Arthroscopic shoulder surgery, he's out for the season. I know he's not the guy you're getting either, same goes with Taylor. Btw, not sure if this has been posted but the said on 1000 that the deal is still pending because Bud has to sign off on it due to the fact a mil. plus is changing hands.

He wasn't in the tourney. That was a cards fan. I was in it, I was a 16 seed and got it handed to me. Oh well. And for those of you who didn't believe me, oh well it happens. I'm sure you had fake rumors in the past, and I expected for people to be skeptical.

Oh they're finalizing the deal right now. My inside source said that Hendry's pen ran out of ink and he's mighty picky about the pens he uses. He made a quick run to Staples and he'll be right back to sign and finalize the deal!!! Yeah...............that's it. No actually Hendry's pen was out of ink. :roll: I hope you know where the exits are if this trade never goes through. Won't be needed.

That's not true. He may have said the Cubs want him gone, or everyone thinks he will be gone. I've had the Score on all afternoon. Yep. There's been nothing on the Score about Jones being gone. I've been listening all day too. I didn't know people like you existed Haha. I've been listening to see if Jones would be traded today. It's like my 3rd time I've ever listened to the Score. I seriously wonder if all these guys are mentally challenged. I've never heard such terrible programming. Try listening to St. Louis sports talk for five minutes. They make Mike Murphy sound intelligent. I can't stand Mike Murphy. He makes me want to rip my ears off.

The Marlins had Alfredo Amezega and (for awhile) Reggie Abercrombie playing CF. They needed some help. While Jacque doesn't walk and throws like a girl, he still has posted some decent offensive numbers that would be an upgrade over what they have now.
