  1. Anthony Adams is pretty funny, again. http://deadspin.com/5934057/anthony-spice-adams-on-his-first-love-basketball-yeah-i-can-fly-for-a-little-while
  2. That 4x100 was just ridiculous. US tied the World Record and still got destroyed. Seeing Blake destroy Tyson Gay was kind of painful.
  3. Best "rejection" letter response ever. http://deadspin.com/5933467/i-would-like-to-extend-you-a-counter+offer-to-suck-my-dick-a-rejected-jobseeker-sends-the-padres-the-best-letter-ever
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PXj8m4yZyo Excellent. Yakety Sax makes any video better. So true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6Sui7st2q0
  5. I still can't get over Houston's boneheaded bunt defense from the other day. Downright wretched. It sucks that the Cubs can't even be the best at losing.
  6. I rather enjoyed my skyline experiences. Montgomery Inn Boathouse, on the other hand, was awful. You guys suck. Skyline is awesome for fast food. It's not the best representation of cincinnati chili though. The ribs at Montgomery Inn are amazing too IMO. Those are the only 2 good things about Cincinnati. The funny thing is about the Boathouse and the original Montgommery Inn is that people in Cincinnati take out of towners there to sample the best culinary delights the city has to offer. My fiance grew up in Cinci so I go there a couple times a year and everytime we come her family makes sure to make a reservation at Montommery Inn because that's just where you go for a top notch dinner for special occasions. It's delicious but if it were in Chicago it wouldnt be within the top 20 restaurants I'd want to take someone from out of town to. The people there are........interesting to say the least. And the skyline is terrible and embarassing for a mid-sized city. We were given no warnings about the need for reservations at Montgomery Inn. We walked (in jeans and t-shirt) from downtown, going through mud, a small bit of rain, etc. Got there at about 6:30. People were in suits and crap and it appeared as though there was valet parking. We go in, everyone just stares at us. They ask us the name our reservation is under. We don't have one, so they tell us it'll be about a 2 hour wait. 2.5 hours later, we finally get seated. Surprisingly, the place was practically empty. Why did we have to wait so long if there were so many tables open? Also, our food was dry. Last bits of the day, so that was expected. Compared to the BBQ we have near St. Louis, this stuff was horse crap.
  7. I still prefer a Steak-N-Shake Chili Mac to Skyline, though.
  8. I'll take umders on all. Whatever that means.
  9. short ESPN story Not only did he break his leg, he broke his leg and STILL ran a 45s split! Their time of 2:58.87 is the fastest ever in the first round (which could be a problem, especially with losing Manteo).
  10. I rather enjoyed my skyline experiences. Montgomery Inn Boathouse, on the other hand, was awful.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. I always liked him and was excited to see he signed, but then saw it was a 1 day deal and got a little sad.
  12. The best part of Prison Break was when Brad Bellick wore Zubaz.
  13. Am I imagining it, or does the host country typically turn in more golds than usual? No you're not imagining it. Host countries outperform. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8218579/tyler-cowen-kevin-grier-evaluate-economics-olympic-success-how-boost-country-medal-count Men's 100M Final about to start! Usain Bolt is just unhuman. wow.
  14. The 10k was phenomenal earlier! Galen Rupp becomes the 3rd American to medal in that distance since 1900.
  15. Adam Greenberg was on ESPN today. Couldn't hear what they were talking about, but the ticker said something about how there is some "rally" to try to get him one more MLB at bat. My co-workers had no clue who he was, so I had to explain. They replied with "Why didn't he get out of the way? Idiot."
  16. Apparently, it was a "rouge MLB employee" who made those posts. Some of the better ones were never seen, though. Now I'm curious.
  17. several MLB teams' facebook accounts have been hacked. Pretty funny stuff: http://deadspin.com/5931360/new-york-yankees-facebook-page-announces-derek-jeter-to-miss-rest-of-season-due-to-sex-change?comment=51513891
  18. I sometimes wonder if GM's of inferior intelligence (like Coletti) are intimidated by Theo and Hoyer. They have a knack for finding hidden gems (or at least somehow always getting the upper hand in trades). When they start asking for prospects, do the Coletti's of the world start to panic?
  19. I'm having fun posting results on facebook as they happen. Pisses so many people off.
  20. Holy crap. Seriously. Silky smooth swing.
  21. He's definitely pulling back when the pitch comes. As his foot goes up, the hands go back. Looks like it helps with his timing.
  22. Len talked about this during a game. Rizzo told him he was just messing around in the cage with different stances and it felt good to him. So send your fruit to Rizzo. It looks like a whiffle ball stance. Which makes it more amazing.
