I rather enjoyed my skyline experiences. Montgomery Inn Boathouse, on the other hand, was awful. You guys suck. Skyline is awesome for fast food. It's not the best representation of cincinnati chili though. The ribs at Montgomery Inn are amazing too IMO. Those are the only 2 good things about Cincinnati. The funny thing is about the Boathouse and the original Montgommery Inn is that people in Cincinnati take out of towners there to sample the best culinary delights the city has to offer. My fiance grew up in Cinci so I go there a couple times a year and everytime we come her family makes sure to make a reservation at Montommery Inn because that's just where you go for a top notch dinner for special occasions. It's delicious but if it were in Chicago it wouldnt be within the top 20 restaurants I'd want to take someone from out of town to. The people there are........interesting to say the least. And the skyline is terrible and embarassing for a mid-sized city. We were given no warnings about the need for reservations at Montgomery Inn. We walked (in jeans and t-shirt) from downtown, going through mud, a small bit of rain, etc. Got there at about 6:30. People were in suits and crap and it appeared as though there was valet parking. We go in, everyone just stares at us. They ask us the name our reservation is under. We don't have one, so they tell us it'll be about a 2 hour wait. 2.5 hours later, we finally get seated. Surprisingly, the place was practically empty. Why did we have to wait so long if there were so many tables open? Also, our food was dry. Last bits of the day, so that was expected. Compared to the BBQ we have near St. Louis, this stuff was horse crap.
