  1. bunted down 3b line and pulled up lame crossing 1st. He wanted to stay in at first, and did but then they pulled him. Z pulled himself out of the game. That's how you know it's bad. At least it's his left leg, and not the one he pushes off the mound with. He'll probably just miss a start.

  3. Let Shark take his next turn in the rotation. LEE GS!!!!!
  4. Lee needs to point at the runner there.
  5. I feel like these game threads are old sick dogs and it's time to grab the rifle and take them out behind the barn.
  6. 42. Thank you sir. And he's right back out there after Z's quick inning. Perhaps this shall be beneficial.
  7. It would be nice to see Lee with a line drive here.
  8. Yea... it was in the strike zone when it crossed the plate. That's the point of a curve ball. I think we all understand the point of a curveball. It's just that usually a close call like that is not called a strike if the catcher was set up on the other side of the plate.
  9. Yeah I know what you're saying. But Baker is LH, they might have been playing him to pull more. I imagine they play there for righties and obviously for double play scenarios.
  10. I just bought that 2 piece meal from KFC and for some reason they have implemented raising anorexic chickens. Hopefully this beer and the Cubs winning can offset my losses.
  11. Yeah. That fight was ridiculously lopsided. I want to see Mayweather - Pacquiao. Mayweather is a boring fighter, but right now he's the only one who can beat Manny. It would be interesting to see if Manny's punching skills could overtake Floyd's defense.
  12. Hatton looked decent for about 30 seconds. Then it went downhill pretty quickly for him.
  13. I'm not much of a Bulls fan but I'm definitely cheering for them. Unfortunately for them Eddie House is playing like Reggie Miller in his prime.
  14. I keep telling you guys, accept the online stream circuit. The pq isn't fantastic, but it's pretty decent. Especially if you have a pc input to your tv. Download tvants http://tvants.en.softonic.com/downloadand go here: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/mlb-baseball/38226-baseball-today-saturday-may-2nd-streaming.html I watch who knows how many games off of this, for free. Any game you can't see on tv just go to the MLB + Baseball forum on MyP2P and click on the today's streaming thread. They never miss a day.
  15. The Marlin's announcers are the best opposing team's broadcast I've listened to this year.
  16. Who do you think are? They beat the Bears by 1 game last year and the Bears added one of the best QBs in the league. Yes, he is in development. Hester is going into his 3rd year as a receiver. Basically the hallmark for WR transition, whether its position change or coming out of the draft. Cutler will make him dangerously close to a bonafide #1, and that will be plenty. And that's to mention there's not talent there that doesn't come out when a team has crap at QB. Bennett and Iglesias both should contribute, and Olsen is very talented at being a pass catching TE. Cutler by himself will make all the receivers on the team take a rather large step forward. Well they just drafted 10 very young guys, that tends to help. And how old is the new QB? Not to mention age is a more considerable factor when it comes to long term outlook and success. Coaching is the main importance in a formidable team, and the Bears upgraded in that area. The running game is solid with one of the best backs in the league. And they upgraded the OL significantly. Are they a surefire bet for the division champs? No. But that's who I would put my money on. It's not wise to underestimate a Pro Bowl QB entering the division. This Bears team will be unlike any we have seen in a very long time.
  17. Good news, I think I mentioned the Bears grabbing Pegues in the 4th or 5th round. Don't know why he went undrafted but it was the only undrafted FA I was paying any attention to.
  18. It's evident the Bear's front office has that confidence. Luckily we have a QB that doesn't need much coaching. With the new found talent on the offensive side of the ball, I'm much more interested in seeing the defense. Lovie is supposedly taking the reigns and Marinelli has a fantastic reputation as a DL coach. If they bring the defense back into the top 10 I see extensions going all around.
  19. Without Fred these game threads would be 5 pages long
  20. I'd rather Hoff stay at 1st and just let Lee PH tonight.
  21. I doubt we see Knox on the field much his 1st year. I think the transition from Abilene Christian to the NFL is gonna take 2-3 years. Iglesias on the other hand I am much more hopeful he will contribute and quickly. I think we see Hester break the 900 yard barrier for the simple fact that Cutler will be able to hit him on his go routes. There were 30 receivers that reached that mark in 2008, I think he's ready. He's in his 3rd year as a receiver now, 2nd full time. Iglesias and Bennett will be hard to predict, you have to assume Bennett will actually know the playbook here in year 2, so he could blow up for a lot of catches. Iglesias should make a nice niche as he breaks into the lineup more. And there are plenty of catches to go around for Clark, Olsen and Forte.
  22. Gonna miss some of the 1st 20 minutes watching the end of 24. Go crappy Cubs lineup.
  23. True. But unless you want Johnson facing righties then you compound the bad defense by putting Hoff in RF. Now you have 2 butchers in the field, not to mention an adamant Lou saying it will never happen again. That would just be ugly and the offensive contributions of the two could very well lag behind their defensive detriments. Therefore, Fox would have to start over Hoff at 1B to get his at bats, and even against lefties I don't think Lou does it. However, if Fox was called up I would start him against lefties until Lee gets back. The kids hot, it's worth a shot. If there are no lefties you put the better bat in there (Hoff) and see if Fox can be a productive PH for whatever stretch of games.
