  1. Without a doubt, and I really like Maples.
  2. I liked the Roy Williams signing and still do, mainly because he is a big target that will fight for the ball and catch it in traffic. Very useful on 3rd down and the redzone - how many interceptions were thrown there last year? No more 3rd and 3 slant passes to Knox that gets intercepted while he stands there looking as confused as Mark Wahlberg. The reduced and more specialized role of Knox will only be a plus to this team. And gives him more time to grow beyond that if he's capable, which I think he is, especially if he keeps adding strength to his frame.
  3. It will be very telling if Martz is dumb enough to stick to the 7 step drop for too long again this season. If they have problems blocking, and they almost certainly will, hopefully the 3 step run balanced team shows back up.
  4. Thank goodness 2 of those first 3 games are at home.
  5. Sosa should have his own blimp that flies around the city and drops buckets of goat droppings on those who doubt his legacy.
  6. I'm perfectly fine with Spencer not being rushed into the starting lineup. One of the guards are going to get injured or just suck so bad that Garza will have to move back to RG and the 3 million dollar center will be starting within a month or two.
  7. This is really disappointing. What a bum.
  8. So the 49ers got Braylon Edwards for 1 yr 3.5 mil? Seems like a missed opportunity
  9. I'm surprised we haven't heard a peep about Angelo and Brian Waters. Seems like a very easy decision to make. Give him 3-4 mil for a year and be done with it.
  10. I was really intrigued when I heard the Bears linked to Zach Miller from earlier in this thread. I'm guessing since they didn't want to commit big money to Olsen they aren't going to allocate that much money to the TE position. Figuring they can just get by with cheap blockers from now on. It's a shame, he would be a great fit. Barber/Spaeth/Spencer/Williams are all small upgrades IMO. But only because the players that preceded them did absolutely terrible at their jobs last year. I like Williams potential being back in Martz's system, despite not being 25 anymore. Davis is definitely a downgrade from Olsen though - hence the Miller love. There's still the possibility of additional upgrades, I really hope they've got something coming still. A lot is going to depend on how well Carimi plays from the get-go.
  11. Ya I dunno what I was thinking. Maybe you have family members over?
  12. Keep your pants on
  13. I like the Roy Williams signing.
  14. It might have to do with the fact that Williams' best season as a pro came with Martz as his OC. Wouldn't be opposed to the Bears signing Williams once he is released. Plus the WR coach Darryl Drake coached him at Texas. Interesting. I would be surprised if he doesn't come here at this point.
  15. I was hoping for our savior Trey McNutt. That didn't work out well this year.
  16. So the Cubs are just stealth signing everybody and when Selig stops being a bitch we can all celebrate? Cool.
  17. What do you guys think of resigning Daniel Manning? Reading this Bears FA article: http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4670732/bears-free-agents-who-will-be-back It sounds like the Bears don't want to budge on the money they've already offered - which he will be able to beat elsewhere. They have Major Wright and Chris Conte for either S position so they might be planning on rolling the dice. Could blow up in their face though, Manning was really solid last year.
  18. Yes plz. Have there been any reports on what his intentions may be? I figured the Vikings would just cut ties with Berrian to keep Rice on board.
  19. Oh. My. God. Haha. Really though no one is gonna give up anything for Barney so might as well keep the cheap reserve infielder. Of course if he's not even listening that's a different story.
  20. We can only hope.
  21. Still some stuff to work out. Peyton Manning, Brees, Logan Mankins, and Vincent Jackson are all trying to get exempted from franchise tag status as part of the settllement of one of the outstanding lawsuits. If it gets done today, the union will reform tomorrow and players will vote, and then the owners will vote on Thursday. I was pretty tired last night but I'm pretty sure some punter called Peyton/Brees/Mankins and Jackson greedy d-bags for doing this.
